Rad Rover 6+ Rear Brake Failure

Was out riding today and suddenly realized I had no rear brake. How do I correct?

Start by replacing the brake pads - they wear out and the brake lever goes all the way in when you squeeze it.

Scheduled mobile service with Velofix and Dan determined that both front and rear brake pads were worn out. Replaced pads for front wheel and all is well, however the rear brakes were so worn the piston was damaged so have had to order replacement rear brake assemble from Rad. They have parts in stock now just waiting for parts to ship...

Received Rear Brake Assembly from Rad. Dan from Velofix returned and replaced rear brakes, all is 100%. Thanks Dan...

How much miles/km have you done before you started having brakes problems? I know everyone's riding is different but I am interested how long(km) your brake pads lasted.

on my rover 5 i would adjust them a few times a year.  i have replaced them 2 times and have about 6000 miles on it. 

my other bike is a different make but it has hydraulic brakes.  I have 2600 miles on it.  I don't have to adjust them which is really nice, but the pads will need to be replaced probably by the time I get to 3000 miles.

so my hydraulic brake pads are lasting longer than the manual Rover brakes.
