Hey all,

I've adapated a 52v battery to my RadRunner 3+ (everything else stock - display, controller etc).  Display turns on but I get no ppower to the motor from throttle or peddling.  Do I need to change the stock controller?

I am pretty sure your stock controller is only 25 watts and has a max of 52 volts.  The battery you added is probably max of 56 volts and the controller can't handle that much.  So yes you need a 35 watt controller as it will handle the new battery but I am told it will not a 60 volt battery.

Thanks.  Now to find a 35A controller/dsiplay upgrade kit for a RadRunner 3+...

Area 13 sometimes has them in stock.  They are good for a source of information and troubleshooting as well.  They do respond to email but sometimes it takes them a few days.

I think Rad called some Bafang motor 750 watt when that may have been the peak wattage.  I have seen some YouTube videos of putting a real 750 wattage Bafang in Rad Mini 4. In a side by side comparison there is a significant size difference.

Ah man really?  Bleh I think I'm still gonna get the RR 3+ for the wifey though.  Was  just hoping not having to swap the motor

I haven't seen official specs on the Radrunner 3+ motor or controller. People have been claiming it's 750w. And what is the controller? Anyone have the actual specs?
