I have a RadCity 5+ with only 250 miles. I have a fault 24 (hall sensor fail). Connections are all good. Can?t get any answer from Rad Power.  I opened the motor, but can?t access the sensor (opposite side of the cover) I read that you can?t replace the motor and need to replace the rear wheel? Anybody has information about fixing or replacing this motor?

I can't help, but I am also in the same predicament.
Wondering if the motor is proprietary or if there is another brand that can be used instead.
The quote for a new wheel is $630 and that's just too much.  Bike is out of warranty.
Also would anybody know if I can swap everything to a different brand of motor/controller/harness/User UI?

AREA 13 has motors and controllers. I don't know their stock currently, but I replaced my motor and controller with theirs. I don't think they have harnesses.  I don't know what a UI is.

The UI is the user interface, the display and switches.

Last year, Ryan, who runs this forum, was told he'd have to replace his whole back wheel and Radpower didn't have any.
Altima, who posts a lot here, sent him a motor and a tool to get the freewheel loose.
There must be replacement motors for the Radcity5+. Maybe Altima knows what to order and where.

I found a solution for my RadCity 5+. I replaced the rear wheel and controller with Area 13 conversion kit. https://area13ebikes.com/products/27-5-1500-watt-ebike-conversion-kit

The kit is compatible with the PAS sensor and the brakes on the Rad. The rear wheel drops in but you?ll need to add spacers and M14 nut. You?ll also have to buy 44 mm spacer for the disk brake. You can purchase on both on Amazon (links below)

The bike now has a lot of power with top speed of 20mph throttle and 30mph PAS.  The whole upgrade is cheaper than a replacement wheel from Rad.

I asked Area 13 if their upgrade kit would be compatible with my RadCity 5+ and they said yes. I ordered from the link they sent me and tried to install tonight but the pins don't line up with the new controller connectors.

Here's them both side by side:

So what happened next?  Did Area 13 offer a solution?
