what bike are you riding with that psi?

The Rover6. 15psi is the minimum for the GMD tires.

if i tried riding around on that i feel like i'd be miserable. i inflated to 25 (normally do 27.5) and didn't like the ride.

Exactly. I started in the mid-uper 20s and it handled like a pogo stick. Bike was trying to deep6 me. I went with the minimum 15p, +1 for guage inaccuracy.
It is soo..so smooth and handles better.
I purchased some Kendas from Rad for winter. They have a minimum 5lbs! It's gonna be fun.

I ride 6 miles to my 2nd shift job. Less than half road and the rest.....
