Hi. I am new to the forum. I have a 2022 Rad Mini 4 with 600 km on it. Last year the motor began to intermittently lose power. I went through the testing process with Rad and replaced the controller. After maybe 50 kilometres the motor is failing again. Rad says I need a new motor for CA $450. With just 600 km I struggle to believe the motor is gone. So I want to take it apart to check for loose wiring. And maybe replace the motor if I have to while I have it apart. But I cannot find a bike shop or e-bike shop that can remove the freewheel. They cannot get a wrench over the axle nut which is on the cable. Does anyone have a solution? I am thinking I need to buy a Park Tool FR 1.3 and cut a slot in it with a grinder. Does this makes sense? If there is another thread on this please point me in that direction. Thanks in advance.
