General Chat / Rad Power Bikes Sold to Life E...
Last post by tbae - January 26, 2026, 01:50:56 PM
Personally I would have liked Retrospec to have bought Rad Power Bikes but apparently they didn't win the bid.

Anyone have direct experience with Life EV?  They appear to be in the East Coast but most/all of their bikes in their website shows "Sold Out".

Thanks in advance!

So I relocated the front turn signals up where I could see and hear them. Before when they were on the basket I could not tell if they were on or not. Now I can both see them flash and hear the beep.

For the rear I changed the reflector position and added a second as well as a slow moving vehicle reflective sticker.

Happy with the set up now.

Love the 60T gear. First ride with it and cruzin 19-26 mph was very nice and comfortable. No more torque surging and no problem starting from a stop in high gear. It is a winner for me I would go 62 if I could find one but I am happy with this. Today was a load test day..

with 55 lbs of water bottles in the rear and more groceries in the front there was absolutely no wobble at all speeds. Rode just like empty except when stopped and leaning the bike could I feel the extra weight. Front end steering seemed slightly lighter but very stable in turns. I was really happy and impressed. Sure it could handle even more weight and there was still plenty of room in the totes.

Rad Modifications / How to mount the repairable In...

Hi!

Since Rad Powerbike had issues with their batteries, and that their (great!) e-bikes are compatible with the Infinite Battery we made a short tutorial to show how to mount the Infinite Battery on your bike (very easy, and takes less than 10 min!)

I got around this problem by calling the Seattle store and ordering a controller for the Radster Trail.
The US controller allows you to change to class3  (~$150us and worth every penny)

Radster Trail / Radster Trail short fender iss...
Last post by RR6+/Radster Trail owner - December 29, 2025, 02:42:18 PM
TLDR: A $20 ROCKBROS front fender (link below) from amazon installed in addition to stock fender as shown in photos significantly improves tire coverage and is compared to the heavy duty Rad Rover 6+ front fender. Adding some rubber/like weather stripping (example product link below) to inner portion of ROCKBROS fender where it contacts stock fender eliminates noise.

So I was fortunate enough to get the Radster Trail on flash sale for $800 through Best Buy. I like others didn't care for skimpy front fender. I initially bought an alternative front fender (SKS Mudrocker) for $44 as recommended on a Rad Owners Forum post, but this only gave me 2 additional inches of coverage in the back and I returned it.

I then found this $20 fender from ROCKBROS to install in addition to the stock fender (see photos). Here is the link:

https://amzn.to/3MxGJqU

I found this to be the best configuration, and it gives nearly 10 inches of additional coverage in the back as opposed to 2 inches. It initially made noise over bumps which I easily fixed by placing some rubberized weather stripping at the contact point on the inside of the add-on fender (see photo). Here is an example product:

I also own a Rad Rover 6+, and you can see the front fender coverage compared. Though not quite as extensive as the RR6+ coverage, it's suiting my needs great over the past few weeks. I rarely need to adjust it. Please see all photos and captions.

I have no relationship with ROCKBROS or Rad Power but I did want to share this awesome bike hack with you all. Happy riding!
