Been looking for replacement brakes because the Nutt front brake is leaking fluid. I called Seattle store and was told the front brake system, complete unit from caliber to handle, is 900cm and the rear is 1650. Not sure that is correct.

I have been on line shopping and have found a 900cm but not a 1650. I also stopped at a couple of bike stores but nothing on hand and to order they want to see the bike. Any suggestions? It the rear the correct length? If the hydraulic line is too long, will it still work?

Any brake manufacture that has the proper brakes will work.

Anyone else concerned that there are basically ads posted on this forum?

I am thinking about getting one for a spare. I haven't heard of anyone buying one yet but they are ion all the new bikes now I understand. I gather from reading that they are a safer battery but, I haven't heard of one catching fire either. I did read where there were a few battery fires in cities but I don't know the particulars. I charge my battery, then disconnect it from the charger, unplug the charger, and put the battery in sleep mode. Right now the price is better with $200 off.

I have seen a few but it will be a winter project... just injecting an idea

The battery has a button by the indicator that if you hold it for a few seconds places it in storage mode. To wake the battery up press that same button.

I kinda agree that buying a bike without the charger could mean it is stolen...

Welcome to the wonderful world of eBiking. We too have the same bikes and age. We take them with our RV and I prefer the bikes to the toad in cities. Be sure to get use to them in your neighborhood before taking a long trip. Remember for the best milage from the battery you have to pedal, of buy an extra battery. I tend to use the range of gears and PAS typically settling into PAS set to 3 and 6th gear. I adjust as needed and average 15-20 mph. I started off with short rides and have learned that getting the muscles back in shape requires lowering the PAS, which I do for either sections of road or a time (drop it down 1 setting for 30minutes) to get back into a shape besides round. The range is also something to think about, hills do take a toll on the battery. I like to plan the trip with the type of terrain we will cover. I did find the in the Google maps app the bike specific setting that shows routes and identifies which has less hills.

We like to stay at the Capilano River RV park just by the Lions Gate bridge. There are other places that are better in terms of looks, sites and services offered but this is really close to the city on the North side. Pricey, but convenient. No WIFI to speak of at the site, no Cable TV, close quarters, a few very long termers but they are not the junk piles you see in the states. There is a road not to far away that has roadsides that are also neat and clean, unlike in major US cities.

I am back with an update... not a single question at the border about the bikes on the back and no one cared. the bike trails around Vancouver were great. I highly recommend traveling thru the city, downtown, on e-bike just because you will beat the traffic and won't spend money on parking.

I only asked because we frequently cross for vacations. Last trip I was quizzed by the Canadian Border patrol about firearms... Questions that would mean they had looked me up in US records. Not the normal do you have any ammo or firearms on board, but what was the last time you carried concealed. When was the last time I went to the range, and it wasn't a friendly interaction. I guessed I answered correctly because I passed thru.

We love Canada and I think they must love us, at least in the restaurant businesses because we eat out majority of the time, leftover the rest.

Thanks Ya, no one plans on an accident... they just happen. I will be cruising around Vancouver, planning to take my time and really don't think anyone will hassle me but gotta ask. Say, are those bikes in your post all Red Green inventions?
