Hi everyone,

I'm currently studying the internal circuitry of controller components to see what common failures can be repaired.

Recently, I looked into a non-working controller and found it was caused by a blown MOSFET and a damaged trace near the power stage. I was able to solder in a proper replacement part and restore functionality.

I spent some time checking the original component's datasheet to compare its drain-source voltage, continuous drain current, and RDS(on) resistance ratings against potential upgrades. Replacing it with a component that offers lower thermal resistance and better current handling should significantly improve reliability under heavy load.
