General Chat / Re: Do not use Tannus Armour on e-bikes

I'm in, Tannus sucks not worth the money. Flat out and Mr Tuffy for me. ;D Over 10,000 miles only had 3 flats, all with Tannus.

Service & Repair / Re: Flat out vs slime for punctures
October 19, 2022, 05:23:03 PM
Flat out lasts for 10 years and slime says it stays liquid 2 years. Flat out cleans up easy with water, slime is hard to clean up after a leak. Leaves a green slimy mess.

RadRover / Re: Rear rack alternative?

The Ibera rack IB-RA5 will fit on the 6+ but you have to order the right one. You need to order the one that fits a bike with disc brakes. Also the 2 front mounting rods need to be lengthened so if you don't have a shop that can do that for you or you have no way to do that, it's not a rack for you.  The rods that come with the rack are 9" long,  Ibera sells longer rods that are 11" long, but that's not long enough to make the rack sit level on the 6+ST bike. I'll get a measurement of the length needed and post it here later.  14.5" length for front mounting rods for 6+ST I don't know if it's the same for the 6+ high bar.

What brand bike rack comes with the used bike? Some bike racks can cost over $500.00 How many miles are on the bike? What year was it bought new? How old is the battery?

If it's like the original the trip meter resets every time you power up or the bike times out and you power back up it is reset.

You will have bar end removeable plugs

That's a crazy high price for a 20X4 tire. Half that price would be doable, but still questionable.  Hey I made the full member status  :D

Rad Modifications / Re: Rad Rover 6 Handlebars

Go to amazon and type in (delta stem riser for bicycles)  https://amzn.to/3eIM91o  You can order the longer one if you want and adjust the stem to the height you want. Just make sure your not stretching the brake hoses or wiring when turning the front wheel to turn.  My friend used the 3.5 inch on his RR6+, I used the 4.6 inch on my RRST1. They are nice sturdy unites and you don't need to use spacers.

I wonder what's going to happen to mine, it now has 9985 miles on it. lt doesn't look like there's room for a fifth digit. If it rolls over to zero again , I guess I'll have a new bike again. Bought new May 18th 2021.   (Update), I went for a ride today keeping a close eye on my mileage because I wanted to take a picture of my screen when my odometer read 9999. As soon as it was suppose to switch from 9998 to 9999 it went right to 0000 missing 9999 totally. No 9999 picture, I stopped and took a picture of 0000 and then kept riding to see if it would start counting again from zero, it did, so now I'm starting over again.  Any Body Looking For A Low Mileage Rad Rover ST 1, HA HA

gooberff, if the motor your trying to remove the free wheel from, has the motor electrical wiring coming out of the end of the axle shaft the park tool won't work. The best option is to order a tool from Area 13 ebikes.  They make a tool just for that freewheel removal. Rad will sell you one but it's not as good as the one from Area 13 Ebikes. It's on there web site under tools and cost $49.99. I got one 10 bucks cheaper on sale. Other tools won't fit over the axle nut and wire plug of the Bafang motors.
