Title: RadExpand 5 plus under truck tonneau cover
Post by: Dashmer on August 21, 2025, 12:45:14 PM
Hello,

I just ordered a couple radexpand 5 plus e-bikes and I was hoping they would fit under my trucks tonneau cover while folded up. Checking the folded specs. The smallest dimension appears to be 25 inches. I was really surprised that they would be that wide while laying on their side folded up. I only have about 19 to 20 inches under my tunnel cover when closed. If anyone has a measuring tape and this bike folded up with the pedals folded, would they please check the dimension from one side to the other?  25 inches seems like a lot. Thanks in advance.

Short answer: yes, RAD Expand 5 will fit under the tonneau cover if you remove the right side pedal. I drive a 2020 F150 and our two expand 5's fit together side by side in the bed under the tonneau cover. I have 19 inches clearance under the cover. It's a tight fit side by side, but it works and the bikes won't slide around. Taking the pedal off gives you an extra 3&7/8's inches clearance under even fits in the trunk of my old BMW 328i!
