I've got a 2016 Rad Rover that has been a solid bike. Recently had an accident where the chain jumped the front chain ring, and ripped off the PAS Sensor. The bracket holding the sensor was mangled, and the magnet wheel was torn free from the crank.
I called Rad and they can't source replacement parts for a bike this old, so if I can't find an aftermarket replacement, it becomes a manual bike that is really hard to pedal...
I'm tech savvy, and handy, but I don't understand all the terminology associated with an eBike drivetrain.
I have a second 2016 Rad Rover I can use as a reference, and received some details from Rad Support on what I can look for.
The sensor that was a there was a "V7-50+" with a 6-magnet cadence disc, and just my luck, it seems pretty rare these days - I only see 5, 8, and 12 magnet sensors out there. The only place I found one online was here (https://www.ebike-solutions.com/en/shop/pedelec-e-bike-parts/cadence-sensors/ebs-cadence-sensor-set-for-systems-with-ebs-programmable-controllers.html?number=aepas02-V5), but I don't know what the "signal shape" is, and it wouldn't surprise me if it cost more to ship than the bike is worth.
What's a guy to do? Alternatives?
Appreciate the help!
