Title: PAS adjustments
Post by: Chewy on August 28, 2020, 06:57:22 PM
I have ordered a RC ST for my wife and would like to know if the PAS speeds can be adjusted? I have heard that most e bikes have a preset PAS speed in the range of 13-15 mph and cannot be lowered if desired. Can the settings be adjusted?

As far as I am aware this is not possible. Perhaps with the Bolton controller upgrade you could tweak the settings.

I was able to do this with the 35a controller and KTLCD3 display I upgraded to. I think it's one of the C-settings (I'd have to check the menus) PAS 3 is about 22kph, 4 gets me to 28kph, and five takes me to 35kph at maximum charge.

With the stock controller, each PAS level increases the maximum wattage sent to the motor, and simply cuts off when the top speed is reached. A cruise control option would be nice.

Cruise is great! I have to be careful where I use it though, as under local regs, I should be pedalling everywhere...
