General Chat / Fire Proof Battery Box
June 14, 2022, 09:25:31 AM
I've heard of way too many e-bike battery fires lately. Anyone have any experience with a fire proof battery box or bag? This would be for the storage and charging of the battery when not in use.

General Chat / Hitch mount bike rack
July 01, 2020, 09:23:07 AM
Any recommendations for a hitch mount bike rack? I have a RadCity stepthru and need a 4 bike rack.

Hanging style seems to be out of the question for step-thru frames. Platforms are my preference but they have to be e-bike weight rated. I love the Inno INH142 but the tire hold style doesn't work with fenders. Thule T2 Pro XT seems like it could work but it's only 2 bikes.

General Chat / Canadian Bikes changed to 750w
June 26, 2020, 05:57:11 PM
Is there any way to unlock the full 750 watts of the motor on the Canadian bikes? they're software locked to 500 watts due to our lame regulations unfortunately. don't need a higher top speed but could definitely use a little more power on the hills.

General Chat / Motor issue
June 26, 2020, 01:12:06 PM
Just received my new city step thru yesterday. took it on the first ride which started great but after 10 minutes the motor started clunking and clanging but couldn't move the bike anymore. if I turn the e-assist off, the bike rides normally.

if I lift the rear wheel off the ground the throttle can move the wheel no problem with no noise. but when I put it on the ground the motor can't move the bike. I tried contacting Rad but haven't had a response yet. Charged it fully last night and tried again this morning. same issue. The bike seems awesome so I'm hoping I just got a lemon.

Help!
