Rad Modifications / Ergon grips
« on: August 20, 2020, 06:43:33 PM »
Hi guys, I wish to put Ergon grips on my new RadMini 4 but I notice that the two original grips on my bike are different sizes. The right one is smaller because of the throttle. Most of the grips from Ergon come both the same size but there is one set that shows two different sizes. Have any of you replaced your old grips with Ergon grips and if so can you give me a link to the correct ones. Thanks so much.

Update! Apparently the colour display buttons function slightly differently than the stock display buttons. To turn on the lights you press just the top button. Thanks for your help. Problem solved.

I have installed the upgrade 35a controller and colour display. And am wondering if in fact I have a faulty display and the buttons are not working correctly on all functions. I have contacted the seller. Strange though because everything else I use the buttons for work great.

Thanks for your feed back guys. I am pressing the center and top buttons at the same time as explained in the Radmini manual. the front light came on twice out of about 20 tries (didn't check the rear light at the time). However, the rear light works every time when I apply the brakes. I have only had the bike for 2 weeks. Everything else on the bike works flawlessly accept the walk button (bottom one). It kicked in a few days ago for 5 seconds then nothing. PAS works fine as does the upgraded display (coloured one).

Hi guys, I have a new RadMini 4 and The front light doesn't turn on using the 1 and 2 buttons together as directed. I have checked the wire connector (near steering column) and plugged and unplugged it but it seems a good fit. The rear light and Everything else on the bike is working fine. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

General Chat / Box cover for 35a upgrade controller
« on: July 11, 2020, 12:59:25 PM »
Hi guys, can anyone provide a link for a cover for my 35a upgrade controller? I cannot find a box big enough to fit it in. I found one on amazon.ca that is close but a tad too small. The dimensions of the controller are 7.2 x 3.2 x 1.7 inches. I'm hoping I can find one because attaching it without a box is to me a bit mickey mouse as well as an eye sore and the box will also help make it water resistant. Thanks.

Hi folks, Haven't been on a bike for years but I'm pretty fit so I ordered a RadMini 4 on June 8th so I don't expect it to arrive here in Ontario any time soon..... I don't know why, but with this purchase I am like a little boy at Christmas. It just goes to show that you are never too old to enjoy life ( I am 80 years young). So far I have bought a motion alarm, a mirror, a helmet, rear rack, Topeak bag, Extra rear light, Upgrade colour display and 35a controller, orange spoke thingies, GPS holder, GoPro holder to go on my helmet, Mini pump, clear goggles, Cloud nine saddle, Suntour seat post. I just need to get an extension cord for my rear Rad light and I'm all set..... All I'm missing is the bike lol. Stay safe my friends and remember, if an old fart like me weighing 135lbs can lift a 75 lb e-bike into the back of a Mazda3 sport ..... Then you youngsters can do anything!
