General Chat / Re: Battery Removal on RAD Rover
« on: April 25, 2021, 11:56:52 AM »
On my 2018 Rover, I place my hand behind the battery, between it and the down tube using it for leverage, and it comes loose from the connecter and just slides right off. It should not be that tight on the rails. You may want to check the locking post on the bottom of the battery and make sure the 2 screws are tight. I've read others having that issue and the loose screws allowed the "unlocked" bolt to drop down just enough to hang it up.

Welcome to the forum @Miller. That is some serious DIY trailer work you got there. I bought the Hollywood rack for my Rover, to haul on the back of my Explorer. While I know it is designed to carry the weight, I still watch it like a hawk while I'm driving. I can visualize my bike coming off the rack and causing a "CHiPs" style catastrophe behind me. Not to impune your handiwork, of course, but I have trust issues. LOL

Welcome to the Rad club, WAM68. I would like to take a look but I do not have the required codec. You may want to convert it to a more web friendly format like jpg. Stay safe and have fun with the new Rad!

I don't know of any specific sites, you could try the Rad facebook groups(There are several). If I had the ability, I would move this post to Rad Power Bikes Classifieds on this forum(@Ryan could you?). Someone here may be looking for a basket.

I bought a Rover in Dec and finally crossed the 100 threshold. Now that the temps are warming up I expect to be very active on my ebike. I live happily retired in Tallahassee, Fl.
Welcome to the forum TallyRad.

@jhcolo, @JKS_, @lcsmall, @Jimlad, @se-riously, @RobtRoma, @pjmeyer4, @Feg32 - Welcome to the forum! @lcsmall, I am in Norfolk and have a 2018 Radrover.

I had a pair like the Etsy ones and my issue was that they were difficult to remove once installed. I second the 1859 Northwest ones because they have a string handle that makes them easier to remove.

General Chat / Re: Single Fat Tire E bike Transport rack
« on: September 28, 2020, 09:47:16 AM »
Just to throw out something to an unanswered question: I have a 2018 Rover and just recently picked up a rack for my "New to me" 2012 Explorer. In all my searching and comparing, the only thing I can say I saw, that came close to what you are looking for, is one of those heavy duty Motorcycle carriers. I only have one bike to transport but you never know when you will have a reason to carry a second bike so I just picked up a Hollywood Rack specifically for Ebike/Fat tire bikes. Something to think about.

Welcome to the forum. I'm in Norfolk, also. The only other Rad I have seen around was a Radmini.

Late response, my apologies. Everything from my stock handlebars on my 2018 Rover transferred over to the H Bar with no problems.

New white wall tires added. I think they really stand out and accentuate the white.

I bought this "exact" one, but I have to warn you, the picture they have there is of the wrong rack. The model is correct and I received the correct one....they just will not fix the picture.

I bought a Topeak rack and bag, you can see pics in the "Pride and Joy" section. I am no expert on the Ibera but I have seen people install the IB-RA5 on Radrovers. I chose mine because the bottom mounts have multiple positions which allowed me to set the rack further back away from the seat. Welcome to the forum!

I forgot to add, If you have 2019 Radrover with the wired tail light, you will need an extension cable for it. This should be the one...it's the blue one with 4 pins
