Its funny. Rad recommends you take off the battery when its on a bike rack while traveling but they don't seem to understand that leaves the battery contacts open to elements like water. So I use a plastic Walmart bag. Does anyone have any other ideas that have worked for them or is there someone making a cover to protect the contacts on the battery bracket?
I have several sets of these, they work fine: http://www.etsy.com/listing/768189023/rad-e-bike-battery-cap?ref=hp_opfy-3&bes=1
I just received my battery terminal covers today from that person on etsy. Have yet to use them but they are well made. Another weird thing I do. I cover my seat with a cheap shower cap when the bike is sitting. I hate tatty seats. But I purchased a Seatylock (by Foldylock) and really like it. Super easy to use. I know its not Abus level 10 security but I don't need level 10 security. I wanted easy and compact.
Found some from the same folks that make the thumb throttle for my Rover. Its 1859 Northwest.

@SoCoRuss - Thank you, ordered 2 sets. They were less than the Etsy ones and looked just as good.
I had a pair like the Etsy ones and my issue was that they were difficult to remove once installed. I second the 1859 Northwest ones because they have a string handle that makes them easier to remove.
Just received my ones from Etsy today and they work fine. They are quite easy to put on and take off. Thanks to this forum for discovering these, a needed item when transporting my bikes.
