Brass is more malable and tends to run smoother and more quiet.

Does anyone know if you can get replacement gears for the hub motor?  Specifically, brass ones.

I recommend a torque wrench.  They only cost $20 at Harbor Freight.

Service & Repair / Re: Wheel bearings
June 23, 2020, 08:13:16 PM
Ryan,
Yes, I saw that. It seemed odd to me because the sealed "carriage" bearing I would think would be cheaper and quicker to assemble.  The reason I ask is because I  plan to removed, clean and regrease prior to bike assembly.  I don't have the bike yet but want to be prepared for when I do.  I want to make sure I have the tools I'll need.

What type of bearings are in the front and rear wheels, specifically Rover step thru?

If anybody has the thread pitch, diameter, length and head type (typically Allen or Phillips) for things like the fender mount screws, handlebar mount screws, headlight mount screws, etc  I would appreciate having that info.

Ordered the Suntour SP12-NCX, 27.2mmx400mm with additional spring (red) for $80 total.  The Cloud 9 seat is on order (back ordered).  Have received 2 ABUS GraniteX 540's.  Ordered 2 each spare tubes for each bike (wife's RadRunner plus and my Rover step thru 1).

How To Information / Torque wrench useage
June 15, 2020, 06:55:10 PM
The Rad Power videos do not show how to properly use a torque wrench.   In fact, if you hold the torque wrench as many of the views show, you will overtorque the item.   Here is a youtube video that shows how to use a torque wrench.    There are many, I just picked this one.   The key is, grip the torque wrench at the handle, not the body.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v3hLvuO_KU

SantaFe,
Where from?

Snce I'm 200lb, I assumed the red spring would be the best fit.  It's ridiculous to have to be the standard and then the correct spring for it. They're expensive the way they are then you have to add another 20% to make it right.

General Chat / Inner tubes

I have 2 bikes on order and want to be prepared in advance.  The RadRunner plus has 20x 3.3 tires and the Rad Rover Step thru has 26 x 4.  What size range of tubes fit these tires?  Is there a preferred tube?
