Service & Repair / Re: RR 6+ weird issue: Twist ...
Last post by inoxa - April 11, 2024, 07:28:52 AM
It might be a setting, but as long as you use both brakes at the same time I would keep it disconnected until you can find the issue.  The purpose of the brakes being connected is to turn the motor off so you can come to a stop without the bike continuing along.

Yes you will need to make changes. I have a different version.
Maybe contact the seller for the settings.  You might find success on youtube as well.

When it comes to helmet laws, it doesn?t have to make sense. It?s politics.

I have no experience with it but you can download a walkie-talkie apps on your smartphones. It uses wifi or Bluetooth no need for internet.

RadRover / Installing Rad Power 6+ Upgrad...

I'm about to install it. I'm hearing that I may need to change some settings after installing - but can't seem to find any info on how to do that - or what the settings should be.

Anyone done it?

Service & Repair / RR 6+ weird issue: Twist Thro...
Last post by Jack D - April 10, 2024, 05:01:41 PM
Intermittently.  I.e.; sometimes the throttle works and not brake light comes on.  Sometimes I twist it and the brake light comes on, and no movement.

I disconnected both the brake and throttle connectors (per Rad support) and inspected them and put them back together again without any noticeable change in behavior.

Weird thing I did notice: The throttle and PAS both work as expected when the front brake connector is disconnected.  As soon as I reconnect the front brake connector - the intermittent issue begins again.

Yet another bad controller?  Thoughts?

Thanks for any input / advice

Jack

What is the preferred brake bleeding kit for a Rover 6? It would help if I could order it on Amazon. Thanks

In South Dakota kids have to wear helmets on motorcycles, but not bikes. We also have to wear seatbelts in motor vehicles but don't have to wear helmets on motorcycles. Does that make any sense?
My wife and I bought Sena M1 Evo helmets and absolutely love them. The Bluetooth communication is awesome. They aren't cheap but in my opinion worth the money.

I don't mind looking ridiculous for using training wheels. I just want to ride with my kids safely.
We kind of did not answer your real question.

I found this https://www.fatwheels.com/Adult-FATWHEELS-Training-Wheels-p/fw-adult.htm

They did say not recommended for e-bikes but they also said if you use an eBike. Do not exceed 6 to 10 mph. you may want to give them a call to see if there is a solution that will fit your wagon.

CORRECTION: THIS IS NOT AREA 13'S CONTROLLER. THIS WAS PURCHASED FROM ELECTROBIKEWORLD.

This is the kit that works for the original Radrunner Plus.

The label on the controller states:
" Controller Brushless Motor
Model KT48SVPRL-SPS3R---[the label had a slight tear on it, so if there is supposed to be more to the model number, it was lost in that tear]
Rated Voltage: 48V
Rated Current: 17Amp
Low Voltage Protection: DC 40+/-0.5v
Maximum current: 35+/-2A
Speed set: 1-4.2V
Brake Input: Low-Level"
