Service & Repair / Re: Best way to carry a Rad bike

Northern Tool has the Ultra Tow double bike carrier (can be converted to single) for $159.
Great beast of a rack, was on sale recently for $129.

Contact Rad and they'll send you a new controller or use another if you have one and see if that's the culprit.

I found the new display to be better than the OEM as it lets you find tune your bikes performance.

Agree with Sc00ter. The grips require a lot of mass being heated, and you lose heat through the handlebars. Gloves are more efficient, the heat is more direct, and they can run on batteries for hours. Mine are really good gloves, with leather palms and 3M Thinsulate, and even without the heat on they keep me pretty warm. As a bonus, the battery for each glove has dual USB outputs, and is large enough to charge your phone.
Those gloves sound awesome, would you happen to have a link to a source or the product?

Very nice, I just had mine delivered a few days  ago but I haven't assembled it yet.
I took everything out of the box and I'll assemble it tomorrow but I have to say that it's very well built and it looks like it will be nice and sturdy too..!!
I found out that you can set it up as a single bike carrier, you don't necessarily have to set it up as a dual bike carrier which is nice.
Oh the places I'm gonna go now..!!!

Service & Repair / Re: New RadRover motor failing(?)
December 03, 2020, 02:46:00 PM
I had a similar issue with my Rover 5, on my first ride and less than 1/4 mile into it.
Bad vibration, and noise sounding like it was coming from the motor.
I had a new 35amp controller arrive prior to the bike so I threw that on and no issues since.
I had posted my experience in a Facebook group and someone replied that it's most likely the controller and apparently it was.

Another vote for Tannus Armour, I just received mine but haven't installed them yet.
Check out the YouTube videos, you can still ride if they're punctured.

I've just received but haven't installed yet a set of Tannus Armour inserts.
They arrived yesterday and upon inspection these things look to be the way to go. Very nice and beefy protection and after much research I'm really glad that these are going on the bike. There's a ton of YouTube videos showing installs and impressions after riding.
I bought the combo kit with the smaller tubes. They can be tough to source, I ordered mine from Quietkat.

Pull the battery out of the tray when you're finished riding.
Water can collect at the bottom of the tray and cause issues.
Make sure to dry that area.
