I live in Chicago and so about Nov 1 I pulled the battery off and kept it inside until today. (4.5 months)
I don't remember if it was fully charged or perhaps it was low after my last ride. But now when I tried to ride today the battery appears to be dead. I have been charging it for about 2 hours and still no sign of life when I turn the bike on. I am hoping that it's just dead and will need several hours to recharge. Is it normal for the batter to go dead after sitting at room temp for 5 months?

I think that depends what the battery level was when you stopped using it. I would think if it was at around 75% charged it would be fine but if it was almost dead when you stopped using the battery that could cause issues with the battery. I don't know to much about batteries just my thoughts.

Have you checked the fuses in the battery?

How's your battery, did you get it to charge?
