RadRover / Re: Regenerative Braking

ReGen simply isn't worth the weight and extra mechanical parts on a bike. To be an efficient cyclist who thinks about battery life you don't use the brakes as much. You coast to a stop etc. Any long hill ridden up should be ridden down with minimal braking if any at all.

Obviously no braking at a red light at the bottom of a hill isnt what i mean here but if you brake a lot, your killing your battery.

Yes it will.

turn Counter clockwise and take notice that it is moving outward and will come out if turned to far. This is only for slight adjustment (that may be all you need). You will eventfully have to adjust the cable at the pinch bolt if you need more in the future and your brake pads haven't worn out yet.

Bottom Brackets are a high wear item yes. Cheaper ones degrade fairly quickly. Good job checking out yours.

I noticed he was absent from a few podcasts in a row then saw his video about what's up a few weeks back. Sucks indeed and I hope he beats this thing.

The white rectangular components with silver endcaps at either end of your circuit board are surface-mount fuses. Labeled 10A and 40A. They will require desoldering to replace.

Oh my! What have they done now?

Service & Repair / Re: Rad Runner seat adjustment?

Replace the seat clamp with a non quick release version. Get one with a pinch bolt. That will keep the post from moving.

How To Information / Re: Bike-2-Bike intercom?

I have my amateur radio license so I use those frequencies and repeaters etc. if all you want is 100 yards then any FRS radio license free will do it for ya. GMRS is the next step up however there is a license fee for those frequencies. (GMRS Fee is $35 that includes your whole family, no test required)

Interesting, I might have to try that if it clears the fender.

Your also going to need 24? tires that hold at least 65psi to avoid pinch flats since 1.9 will be quite a bit thinner. Also thinner tires will limit the rim section width. Sun Rhyno Lites used to be made in 24?.

Schwalbe is the best. Unfortunately they don?t yet make a tire for the 20xFat crowd. Untill then it?s the CST Big Boats.

You need the shell length and the spindle length (that?s frame and axle)

However Rad uses odd ball proprietary sizes and replacements are only going to be available from Rad I?d imagine.

Do you think heat might be the new problem now? Seems these need venting.

1st is the seat....Every bike needs a Brooks saddle. Beauty, elegance, durability and comfort.

That thing looks hard as a rock, I'm a bigger sized girl....is it really comfortable?

That's only one of what are dozens of Brooks seat models in many widths and shapes. Some even have springs, you have pictured a racing saddle. A comfortable seat need not have tons of foam or gel. A leather seat is like a hammock, its forms to your body. That being said most people don't ride enough to enjoy an leather seat like a Brooks. A casual rider can get away with quite a few cheap foam designs but after the 10 to 20 mile mark firm is better. Plush leads to friction and friction leads to saddle sores.
