handlebars can be changed... I did.    the grips twist off.    Can be put back on with old motorcycle trick.  Spray some water with dish soap inside grip.  Lubes up install and when dry stays put.  got my HB's off amazon.

Amazon...works great.

Great idea for this list...  My mini hosts many optional accessories but the best 2 by far were the suspension seat post and changing the handle bars to that of the Amazon procured RAD City 3 style.  I can ride all day comfortably now and I am 220 lbs.

Love a story with a happy ending... Waiting to hit the streets as spring shows it self and do improvements also to my 21 Mini!  Thanks Jim.

Rainy Seattle and tired of walking in the rain... Rather than get a stationary bike I am comfy on my RadMini and wondered if anyone had figured out how to connect in inside trainer hold the rear wheel in place?

I just wandered over to http://area13ebikes.com/ to get a link to their caliper upgrade and discovered they are having a VERY nice sale on many items including both the 35A controllers and brake calipers for Rads.  I installed and love both of these on my 2021 MiniST2 but they'll work for most Rad models except the ones with semi-integrated batteries and hydraulic brakes:

So FYI, gang!

Thanks Jim, Been looking to upgrade my brakes!!

As I value my 21 Mini also with a ton of extras blood sweat and tears upon it -  I have also hidden an Apple Air Tag on it!!  Just in case I need to track it.

General Chat / Re: Used RadMini 4 concerns

The trip meter ALWAYS automatically resets to ZERO when it shuts off -  even in the middle of a ride when you stop for a rest.  Total mileage does not.    Used means you deal with it for a discounted price so not surprising.  I have had 4 NEW Rads.   All were fine besides one not wanting brake like to work but  had running lights.  Spokes are a maintenance issues, they should have caught that.

Unreal..  Tires wear out Dude! Be proactive to change sooner not later.  3000 miles and you are complaining?

@SemperVee
As I waited impatiently for the arrival of my City+. I am glad to hear that. I have been reading a lot here and taking notes of user experiences.

And I?ve wondered if some of the troubles were the result of ?if it ain?t broke, don?t fix? situation.
Secondly, Has anyone done a survey regarding users having controller issues. keeping their bikes stock vs unlocking their speed/watts?

I for one thought I was being cheated by having a 500w motor and still pay the same as the 750w version. Therefore my initial thought was just to unlock as soon as warranty expires. I know better now that it?s not that simple.

My motivation to get an electric bike was to help me on hills. I think I will be content in having a 500w without modifications. Unfortunately I won?t know until I have my bike.

I unlocked the stock ecm right away.  Other than cosmetics I have been very happy with 20+MPH up and down steep hills...  What a relief to know I don't have to stop weighing my ability to finish the ride back, NOW that I have elec help.  I often ride WITHOUT any motor input or very little PAS but love having the security knowing it is there to help!!

My customer service like Jims was Fabulous also with 4 RAD bikes and now single and down to one I love my 2021 RAD mini that is no longer made and has 1000 miles on it.    The replacement is so much less than the original.  I suspect some of the customer complaints as I have no direct confirmation of that really is going on and no one i know with a RAD has had a significant problem.  I have found that some people are quite neglectful of basic maintenance, don't know where to put air in their tires nor which end of the screwdriver to use but complain loudly!

We have Sena bicycle helmets with built in hidden speakers and voice actuated microphones that work most excellently.  Amazon is your friend.

The Boat tires, DO seem to perform much better then they appear, I'll give you that as I also have 600 miles on my mini and doing well.  Keep thinking I should have a set of tires of some sort ready to go just in case...
