Hi All,
With All the maintenance and warranty issues with on line sales of e-bikes, Rad being one, I am thinking about buying a locally sold e-bike from a brick and mortar business. Only reason being is product support and maintenance work, Any Thoughts?
Thanks, Paul

Has anyone had any experience with these tires? I was going to put them on my 2021 Radrover 5.
Please let me know of other options, Looking for durability and flat resistance.

Just ordered this for my Radrover 5, Your thoughts and reviews?
I bought this specific one because I didn't want peddle bounce and like to know where my feet are on the ground when stopping or going slow, So I am wanting the seat height to stay the same as no seat suspension when slow or stopped. I was thinking this would allow me to maintain seat height until I need it with the light off-road I do. (I should mention, I am an old guy, 68 this November)
Thanks All, Paul

RadRover / 2021 Radrover 5 brakes question
July 10, 2022, 12:28:35 PM
I had some hack bikeshop work on my Radrover and had re do the work done on my brakes, Anyway, The guy was so heavy handed he overtightened the brake cable on the caliper adjustment and frayed the cable, (along with other shoddy work)
Do I have to buy this cable from Rad: https://bit.ly/3BuVhQc

Or can I just go to amazon,
Thanks, Paul

Cleaned my PAS magnets and sensor today after 2500 miles, And I did notice a small difference with PAS, Nothing dramatic, BUT, for sure a little more response and smoothness. It was hugely gunked up with chain lube and dust,/ dirt.
QUESTION, The sensor is not the 3 mil. distance from the magnets, IN fact I used a feeler gauge to slide between, And clearance is tight, The sensor may even be rubbing on the magnet ring, Do you all think I am OK here, OR, should I re adjust the sensor to 3 mil.
Thanks All, Paul

This is a reply I posted a few minutes ago, Hope I didn't offend anyone for being off topic, But, Not finding a bike shop to work on Rads was in one of the replies. So here is my experience here in Santa Cruz. Here is the link,

Thanks, Paul

Most local bike repair shops won't touch a Radbike here in Santa Cruz, Ca. They cater to their own sales of stocked e-bikes, Even bike repair shops that don't sell e-bikes won't touch them, I have been to shops here for repairs on the Radrover that will accept them,  and the quality of works is WELL below standard, I used to be a machinist in my younger days, And can do all and any repairs myself, BUT can no longer do so due to my age and this old body is giving out.

Hey all,
Question When in PA mode or throttle, Does it matter what gear you are in,
My thinking is if it easier to peddle in the lower gears, it is easier on the motor and battery to be in a appropriate gear for the flat or grades.  I heard online from you tube citizen cyclery that he keeps a 7 speed bikes in the highest gear all the time using PA and throttle, My thinking is the motor and battery have to work harder just like peddling in higher gears at lower speeds.

General Chat / Rookie with a voltmeter here
February 05, 2022, 09:07:12 AM
I have a RR 5 2021 and wanted to test voltage and range since I only have the 5 bars meter, SO, Question is,,,  Fully charged I get 53.7 Volts, After working it in PA 4 and some throttle for 15 miles went down to 48.1 Volts. and bouncing from 3 to 4 bars, And idea on range and voltage?  Common sense tells me  the voltage should be lower than 48.1.
Thanks, Paul

RadRover / Tires for Radrover 5 suggestions
September 04, 2021, 10:14:18 AM
Am in the market for a new set of tires for my Radrover, Any suggestions besides the stock Kenda's? I am an old guy, and can't change a flat, So looking for something super puncture resistant for on and off road. Thanks in advance, Paul
