I managed about two miles on my RadRover 5. This was on a bike path in a wildlife refuge. I don't think it would have held up once I got out to the hard road.

Service & Repair / Re: Bike won’t turn on

Just a followup to my 8/4 post.

After working with RPB support and replacing the main wiring harness, controller and the LCD screen switch combo the problem is resolved. As I suspected, the issue was in the switch/LCD combo and not the harness or controller. The local RPB authorized repair tech said that this is a common problem and has replaced "well over a hundred."

Anyway, its fixed and I'm back to riding!

I've now replaced the main wiring harness and the controller. Bike will still not power up. RPB support wants to replace the battery. I'm thinking its a switch problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm having the same problem with my RadRover. It cut out on a ride and wouldn't power back up. Rad is sending me a new harness and controller but I have this sinking feeling that the problem may be the switch. Any one know of a way of testing the switch or display?
Thanks

General Chat / Re: Tannus liner tube blowout!

Wow, talk about customer service! Sent an email to Tannus Customer Support right after I posted here. What follows is their reply about an hour later:

Hi:

Thanks for your message! We are happy to get you another tube.
We have heard of this happening. We have learned a few things!

Sometimes the tubes are faulty just being from a large production.
We have also learned that with these wider options that our recommendation to do 5-10 PSI less than you normally ride, doesn't really work since the pressure is already fairly low. We recommend running you regular PSI so that this can reduce the chances of the tire, Armour, and tube rotating while braking or whatever else. This rotation can cause the valve to rip when it is rotated.

The other thing we have heard is that after 24 hours after install, things seem to settle and to check your tire pressure again.

Also, do not run lower than 15 PSI.

Hope this all helps! Your new tube should ship out shortly.
Thank you!
Hillary

I just suffered the same failure. Purchased the combo a few months back and finally installed on the rear yesterday. Went out today and the rear failed after about 10 miles. The failure point was at the valve stem. I've sent an email to Tannus and am awaiting a reply.

@Dan B---Thanks for the info. I purchased the stand, its massive but certainly supports my RR5 without any issue!

Count me in! I've seen several Rad bikes in my area but have yet to connect with other riders. This would be a great addition to the forum.

This is my post to the RadRover section. I ended up buying this rack and using it on my '10 Wrangler 4dr.

"I've been looking at this rack on the Northern Tools site. There are some reviews posted from Rad owners there.
Ultra-Tow Fat Tire 2-Bike Carrier. I'm seriously thinking of ordering it."

Like a couple of others here I just received my rack a few days ago. Haven't assembled it yet but everything looks good out of the box. I'm hoping to put it together next week. Will report back!

Hello all,
Fred here, living in New Jersey. I got my RadRover in August. It's my first ebike and certainly one of the best purchases I've ever made! Living on the coastal plain I don't have any concerns with hills and have found that the bike works great on the beach and the wooded trails that I ride. The forum has proved to be a great way of staying in touch with other Rad owners and exchanged information. Take Care and "Ride Rad."

I just received these today. Planning on mounting them next week or so and testing them out on my Radrover 5.

While I haven't had a problem with my stock tires, I've ordered tubes and liners from Tannus for my Radrover 5. I ride mainly on improved trails and bikeways but do ride some mild single track terrain. Once installed, I'll post my experience with the Tannus armour products.

I use a GoPro 5 Black attached to a mount designed for the Garmin Edge. It mounts on the hard points for the front rack and provides a very solid base for the camera. I don't care too much for the movements in the body or handlebar mounts and this gives me the view I want.
