Radster Trail front fender for rain?

I'm at mile 500 on a Radster Trail. I ride it on the Seattle trails and over a long water bridge for commuting. Its long range is just right for a return trip against the wind with no juice left. And Winter Is Coming.

I've looked on the Rad website and places like SKS and REI for alternative fender or mudguard options for the front. As obvious from the pictures it's super short with the original fender as it's meant for the trail and it's a fat tire: 3 inch wide 27 diameter. The options out there usually are not for fatter tires, or the few that are seem limited to 20 diameter.

My questions:

I'm assuming this bike will splash my shoes and crotch in the rain although I haven't tested yet. Have you tried it?

Will the problem be only the front fender or the back too, for this bike model?

What solutions exist? Should I ignore the narrowness of the SKS fender (2.5 inch wide, narrower rather than wider than my tire) and just go with it or are there better options?

Thanks for sharing.

Lucius

Just following up to see if you came up with a solution. It's approaching the rainy season here in Northern California and I bought as an all-arounder, but also to commute. I'd like to keep my work clothes clean if possible.
