RadCity / Re: Battery never used --dead

It's the rad City 5 Plus, purchasedt his year.  The battery charger has shown red/ green from the beginning. It never indicated that it was charging. Could it still be in shipping mode? And if so, how would I get it out of shipping mode if it has no charge whatsoever?

RadCity / Battery never used --dead
May 30, 2023, 05:32:49 AM
I bought my bike last December but never assembled it till now. The battery I guess was still in shipping mode. When I press the power indicator to take it out of ship mode, nothing happens. No lights, no nothing. The charger shows red and green.   There are never any lights on the battery indicator. Is there any way to get this new, but never used battery, to work? Am I missing something??

General Chat / Seat post clamp -- size?
January 26, 2023, 03:47:57 PM
I want to get an abus nutfix sat clamp lock -- but it comes in two sizes. 28.6 and 30. I don't know which will work with my rad City 5 plus seat post. Anyone know?

I just assembled the radCity 5 Step through. Everything went well and the bike rides well, except for one small irritating thing. In 7th gear,  hear an occasional click or tick while pedaling. It seems to be occurring randomly. Anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?

I have the Hollywood Hitch Rack sold by Rad for Ebikes.  It says it is for 2" hitches only.  I have an Outback with a 1 1/4" hitch.  On the Hollywood site, the FAQ says they have a special receiver tube for mounting our rack for E-Bikes on a 1-1/4" receiver hitch.  I can't find any info on this.  Would you replace the receiver tube on the rack?  So confused?  Any help is appreciated!F

Here's what the FAQ says:
Can I mount an E-Bike rack if I have a 1-1/4" receiver hitch?
Yes, we have a special receiver tube for mounting our rack for E-Bikes on a 1-1/4" receiver hitch.  This makes the rack designation HR1460Y-E. The 1-1/4" receiver tube is reinforced such that the No Wobble System cannot be used. Therefore, the HR1460Y-E uses a threaded hitch pin and a Locking Threaded Hitch Pin with keyed alike locking cable. The 1-1/4" receiver hitch must be Class 2.  You may email us a photo of your vehicles receiver hitch if you're not sure what Class it is.
