Service & Repair / Re: Rad Rover Motor noise
March 21, 2021, 04:35:22 PM
I have a noise that sounds like a old caliper brake as well, but only during take-off and it goes away. Mine points to a out of adjustment front (or rear) disc brake. Very hard to pinpoint. The Mini is new with only 1 mile so far. I was going to check/adjust everything anyways. Now I know my RadRunner motor makes a funny noise during take-off to mid-range but its a normal noise. Trying to think of what to compare it to. Runner has around 2000 miles. Hope this helps?

I purchased a Save Your Seat Lock in the correct Rad size (32mm). I'm not going to use it. I was going to put it on the RadMini ST but it hits the battery, and I forgot why I don't use it on the RadRunner 1. So that being said, if anyone want's it hit me up via PM with your address and I'll get it in a USPS Fits It Ships box and get it to ya. Excellent quality, like new, have both keys and back card from packaging. FREE. Will mark it gone when it gets claimed. Again, FREE.

RadMini / Re: Rear Rack for RadMini
March 19, 2021, 08:19:46 AM
I don't know if any of you know about Genuine Buddy scooters and their "awesome" rear racks by Prima, but I swear the Rad Mini rear rack came from the same factory. The 'Mini rack fit in the end but it was not welded straight or even. Luckily I didn't have to force/bend anything to make it fit so I don't foresee any cracking on the rack or bolts pulling out. The 'Mini rack works as advertised so its a few steps above a Buddy rear rack in weld quality.

Weird! My bank flagged my Tannus purchase and sent me a automated fraud call. Said it was for a Mens and Womens Clothing Store. I got it sorted pronto so I didn't miss out on the 20" liners. Bank has no idea why the order was flagged.

Maybe a folding aluminum motorcycle ramp? A picture of your set-up might help with a solution. I also dread lifting my ebike as well.

My CatMini Folding Step-Thru arrived this morning. New owner is in Vegas for awhile so I'll have it together and shook down this weekend, and maybe ride it to work once or twice. I like the white personally, more visible.

With the rate ebikes are selling I guess mistakes happen. Glad you got it sorted. What did you order? I got a Rad Mini Step-Thru coming soon.

I did a mini-review on the Rad Runner 1. I'm on flat ground almost exclusively so I cannot comment on hills. But the single speed will just start winding out on max intervention, meaning you will start to hamster wheel a bit. But the 'Runner 1 is so simple. Nothing breaks or goes wrong on mine, except the evil flat! As a friend of mine says,"It's always the rear wheel, always the rear.", but at the price I have zero regrets with my purchase. The Plus model was not "officially" released when I ordered my 'Runner 1 BUT if I could do it over again I'd still order a 1/base model. I do get to try gears soon. I have a Rad Mini Step-Thru that just shipped out today. Bought it for someone else but I'm gonna give it a good shake down and make sure it's 100% good to go before delivering it. Others will chime in on their experiences. Oh, and welcome!

I just tried on the Eco Cycles site and when I entered my address it said "Sorry, we don't ship to Virginia.". Weird, I'll just wait for Tannus to get them back in stock. Plus I wanna try Ryan's discount code.

Whoever sees or gets a notification for Tannus 20x3.0-4.0 tire liners being in stock, please post under this thread! After I never got a email notification on my Rad Mini I have little faith being notified for Tannus liners. So lets stick together and keep watch together!

RadMini / Re: Rear Rack for RadMini

Got my rear rack for the 'mini today. Boring black but better than no rear rack. Glad no porch pirates were creeping around today because FedEx just dumped it on the porch along with my extra 'Runner tire!

RadRunner / Re: Chain slipping while pedaling hard
March 06, 2021, 11:28:23 AM
Nope. I just put it down to the chain bouncing and the tension arm not reacting fast enough. So far my chain hasn't jumped off so its not a big concern, safety or reliability.

So I had a extra Foldy Lock, and my wife paid for the right and left Hafny mirrors, cheap-o pogo seat post and a water bottle holder. So I think I have everything covered for safety, convenience and security. Wife was kinda shocked at the $103.00 total. Told her that's nothing compared to road bikes or mountain bikes.

Cats are like potato chips, you can't have just one! I would rather have potato chips though. I have 4 cats. Two that are so old they belonged to Jesus before I adopted them. And two younger ones that will probably live just as long. What did I get myself into? But if you have more than one Rad then those are your cats! Come to think about it my sister has 5 cats last I talked to her. Best part is none of them get along and they need to be kept apart. She needs some Rad bikes instead.
