Post by: dmann on December 30, 2020, 02:53:45 PM
Anybody advise me on the size of the seat post on a 2020 rad mini.
Considering a basic spring seat post

Sorry I don't have my bike immediately available but if you pull your seat tube all the way out it's actually marked on the bottom

Rads website has the seatpost listed at 27.2mm for all models except RadWagon 4. I also know that a cheap spring seatpost from a Pedego fits. I got my spring seatpost for $10 gently used from my Pedego dealer.

The seat post is 27.2mm in diameter. Below is the seat post I have on my RadMini right now.

Please note that this one and the one you linked to are 350 mm long. I'm 5' 10" but have long legs, and have my seat as high as it will go. If this might be an issue for you, then look for a seat post that is 400 mm long.

Did that seatpost make the saddle more comfortable or have you replaced your saddle from the stock one?

Yes, i used this post and the cloud 9 seat and makes for as good of a ride seat comfort you'll find. If you're like e me  seat comfort was the only thing that was keeping me from riding long distances or long days, with this set up soo comfortable

I did the same as Dmann, suspension post with a Cloud 9. My C9 is not the cushiest (Cruiser Select Airflow), but it was more comfortable than the stock seat. I'm in the market for something better because my bumpy rides are often more than an hour, but I'm trying to avoid the huge seats. It's funny how EVERY seat says "Most comfortable", even if it looks like General Grievous' face!

Cloud 9 seem very popular. Does anyone know where to get one in the U.K. for a reasonable price.?  Tony
