Chain Protection on the Lift Stand?
« on: April 26, 2021, 01:44:05 PM »
I'm still under 50 miles on my RW4.  There is a nice wrap-around protector for the rear fork, to prevent scratches from the chain.  Every time I park it, the chain flaps against the stand, have it scratched up already.  Why wouldn't they put scratch protection there?
I'm an RW4 owner. I'm not using any of these ancient forums. (ICQ, AIM, MSN, YIM). Instead look for @joelhuebner, joel.huebner, joel.huebner@gmail.com, joel52334.
That's where you will find me.

I bought a sheet of fake carbon fiber wrap from the auto parts store and put that around my center stand leg that hits the chain. It (wrap) will eventually get ground thru so I just put on a fresh piece. I guess you could buy a chain stay slap guard and cut it to size for you center stand as well.
