I would like to have longer mudguards for my RadRhino. Especially to the front. When snowing and/or there is plenty of soft snow, front tire will throw it around covering the headlight after a while. Same thing with mud. I also would like more classic look since I don't drive that far off the road. ;)

Has anyone found bigger / longer mudguards for this Rad model?

Experienced probably a frozen gears issue while ago, not 100% sure what caused it though. Then yesterday after riding my RadRhino on deep snow and back at home, noticed there were melted snow around the hub motor:

There were some melted snow around the controller too:

Is this because my motor is the 750W (more power => more heat?) version or do the 250W motors have similar heating, so that snow will melt in about -5 C ? This is the first time I have been ridden in deep snow with ebike.

It will be interesting to start the bike next time and see how the gears etc. work... :)

I found this great Youtube video of the Swedish company called Biltema and its ebike battery packs:https://youtu.be/23SVz23RkbA

Biltema's ebikes are usually good quality for the price, but this kind of shocked me to know their batteries are also designed to get useless after certain time. Like the HP printers or Samsung LCD TVs some time ago.

Rad Modifications / Folding stem
July 03, 2020, 12:08:49 PM
One big issue with commuting to my work place is where to keep my bicycle while I work that ~8 hours every day. Of course not now because of this Covid-19. But after that again.

Has anyone tried this on their Rad and if yes, how did it work for you?
https://flatbike.com/product/thinstem/

My company's office is in an old classic building with old doors. Doors that are quite narrow, and even without trying I know it will be a challenge to get my RadRhino inside the building. I really don't want to let my Rad stay in rain and snow all day (Finland it is, yikes!).

So folding stem like this would be a life saver. At home too.

Does anyone know what is the purpose for this 4 pin square shaped connector? Some kind of diagnostic port? Cable goes to the controller box.

Found it yesterday while doing some maintenance to my RadRhino. It is on really bad place since all (salty ocean) water, mud and dust will go this place and the cover sure is not water proof... So have to keep on eye on it and perhaps cover it better.

Is it normal for Rad bikes that their charger gets really hot while charging? Or is my charger faulty? Mine gets so hot I cannot place it on any surface that could get damaged from hot temperature. Instead I hang the charger in air with a stand I found from my garage..
