I can tell you that the stock tires are garbage, they aren't round. The rims are pretty crappy too but they should be sturdy enough to last a while. There is nothing specific about these wheel or tires (except for the motor mounted on the rear rim), they are standard 27.5 inch, which is half way between a 26 inch MTB tire and a 29 inch tire. Although it's probably the least common "standard" tire size they aren't hard to find. Just look for a 2 inch wide 27.5 inch (also called ISO 584) size.

How about these tires what do you think.

Rad City 5 +

I Started looking at tires for the RC5+ and the I realized just how much there is to learn! I wanted to put this info all in one place.

RadCity5+

From Rad :

"Double wall aluminum alloy, 36 hole
Rim width: 25 mm."

"27.5" x 2.0", e-bike rated with puncture-resistant liner *tires received may not include branding."

The rims that came with say :

ETRTO 584x24  Alloy 6061-T6

6061 is a precipitation-hardened aluminium alloy, containing magnesium and silicon as its major alloying elements. Originally called "Alloy 61S", it was developed in 1935. It has good mechanical properties, exhibits good weldability, and is very commonly extruded. Wikipedia

By applying the T6 temper to 6061 aluminum, the typical yield strength nearly quadruples, from 8 ksi to about 35 ksi (ksi is a unit of stress).

The tires that came on the RC5+ say

: < ROTATION VEE TIRE CO
                         : 50/100-584  M/C  37B MOPED
                         : 27.5 X2.0 (50-584)

                          :35-65 psi / 2.5-4.5 bar / 240 - 450 kPa.

Replacement tires on Rads site: Kenda Kontact - 27.5" x 1.95"

Does VEE TIRE CO make Kenda's ? Isn't it a bit misleading If they don't.

Just a bunch of random specifications obviously designed for someone's job security inmho.

Ok my heads spinning now so I'm going to work on this and edit it some more later 🙂

Most important dimensions  to remember are 27.5 X2.0 or (50-584) metric.
They also fit into the 650B reality somehow

I am running 60 PSI and gliding beautifully.

I got the SR Suntour SP12 NCX Suspension Seatpost with Protective Cover(27.2x400mm) so I am ready for the odd pot hole.

Hi we got two of them from Rad recently but no Allen bolts.

Yup the ones supposed to be in the frame no longer are there.
And the 5650L didn't ship with them either even though we ordered as part of our purchase of two rad city 5 +

Pretty neat though and extremely heavy duty, pretty beefy at apron 1.2 lbs.
Got these coming https://can.grandado.com/products/10pcs-cycling-socket-head-cap-screws-hexagonal-bicycle-kettle-frame-road-mountain-bike-accessories-rack-stainless-steel-screws?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8cn5qqa-9gIVcW1vBB07SwC_EAYYASABEgK59vD_BwE&variant=UHJvZHVjdFZhcmlhbnQ6OTE4ODY3MTI
