blanket statements are the worst.

two years in my RR6+.
I am not mechanically inclined. I've changed out my flats a few times, but that's it.

Other than having bought it at peak price, i couldn't be happier with my bike, and it's giving me about 4,000 miles of joy. Probably be more if it wasn't 105+ degrees every day this summer.

Also, if you want prices of any other ebike, yea, they usually supply those prices free of charge, and can easily be found on a website.

Last summer I had a tube blow, and then the replacement went flat overnight, before i even rode it. turns out there was a splinter from a goat's head on the inside of the tire that was so small both myself AND a tech missed it....

the easiest option would be to just get another integrated battery, but damn, i don't want to buy another rad battery :D

Victagen advertises it as their 8,000 Lumen light. That's just the model name. With both beams at maximum intensity, it probably produces 800 lumens. Each beam probably produces 400 lumens on high. The spotlight concentrates it in a cone of about 11 degrees. That would be great for spotting a fox at 300 yards but nasty in a driver's eyes.

I tried it out right after sundown. The only way to see where the beam was going was to point the bike at a wall 20 feet away. The low beam would probably make the bicycle more visible to a threat from the side, such as somebody backing out a driveway, at a stop sign, or turning left... or a pedestrian.

The rubbery clamp can slip on the handlebar, allowing me to lower the elevation when there's oncoming traffic.

Both beams have an SOS mode. I've never read of anyone who survived because he had a pocket light that would flash S O S.

I took the photos on a sunny day. I guess the brightness of the lights caused the software to make the day look dark. The second shot shows the spotlight. In the third shot, the tail light is the horizontal strip abour 4" below the seat. (I could slide it on as a vertical strip.) It's very bright, like a car's LED brake light. (The OEM Radmission tail light doesn't even reflect headlights!) To shut it off, you have to cycle through other modes, including S O S, blue, and alternating blue and red. (What's the penalty for impersonating a cop?)

The fourth shot is the headlight in floodlight mode.

lol, i think that was a positive review.

i don't remember how i ended up settling on that particular light, but i'm an obsessive researcher when making a purchase - it makes my wife crazy, and conversely, when she announced "i bought a washer and dryer!" a few weeks ago without researching them, it made me cringe :D

re the SOS mode - it's not so much for cars, but for oncoming cyclists on trails to increase my visibility to them....

I much prefer my Radmission to my Radrunner 1 at night because the former has a brighter light. It would probably be great to ride with a light as bright as the Victagen, and if I didn't clamp the bracket too tightly on the bar, I could set the elevation as I rode. They advertise 8,000 lumens. Really? The battery has about 20 watt hours. They say you get 2.5 hours at the highest brightness. That would be 8 watts, for a thousand lumens per watt. The most efficient LEDs get a tenth that much, about 100 lumens per watt.

It looks as if it would be a little cockeyed if I didn't have a level section of handlebar to mount it.

What's with the blue taillight? It would be illegal on the road.  It's a novelty that makes the taillight more complicated to operate.

One reviewer recommended putting baby oil on the rubber strap to mount the taillight. He said otherwise, it would soon deteriorate from exposure. I doubt baby oil would help, but some rubbery stuff stands up to sunlight very well. How is yours holding up?

In spite of the blatantly false advertising of lumens, I'm tempted. I'm not tempted to buy the other item for daytime. Instead, I wear a yellow safety vest. It presents a big, high picture like a stop sign, and I'm immediately recognizable as a human in the road.

between the 2 lights on the back of my bike and the two on the tube, i'm not sure which ones came with which lights, but i generally don't use the blue. i usually put them on some sort of flash, usually with red, white, or yellow, depending on the light. they're not complicated. it's simply a single button that allows you cycle through the different lighting settings.

i've had all the lights for just about 12 months, with no issues. rubber seems fine, and i do plenty of riding in 90+ degree weather. today's 107 with a heat index of 125 may keep me inside though. lol

i find myself charging the Gator about once a week, after 3 to 5 rights. the Victagen less so - in part because i simply don't use it that often. i don't ride that much at night, and even less so during the summer when it's light here until well past 8:30....

they've certainly met my needs.

unless I'm missing it, the immediate glaring omissions are lights, helmets, and other safety features.

when i first got my bike, safety was a huge concern to me - i wanted to be lit up like a fireworks show. i no longer use all the lights, but in addition to what came on the bike, i have 3 lights on the tail, my helmet light, a headlamp for brightness in darker conditions, a headlamp that i essentially keep on flash as a daytime running light, and two lights on the tube and one weaved through the spokes on the front tire (i only use the tube and spoke lights at night).

Helmets too - i would hope that when people are shopping for bikes, they're also shopping for helmets.

i also wear padded gloves - fingerless most of the year (it's HOT in Texas), and with fingers for a few months in the winter. they don't need to be fancy or expensive. The MoreOK line on Amazon https://amzn.to/46hihPT has worked great for me for both styles of gloves.

they are apparently having issues with their phone lines, and note that they're currently down and offer both online chat and text options. not ideal, obviously, but texting is probably better than a long drive.

not in the case of the RR6+ - there's no key shut off. the key is simply to remove the battery. everything else is push button start.
