RadRunner / Re: Changing seat on RadRunner Plus

There's no means to separate the stock seat post from the seat, so you'll need a 27.2mm seat post. Look for a layback seat post if you want to move the saddle back a little.

Looks like mine fell off at some point too!

It's a guide for the chain, it fits into a socket on the tensioner.

I replied to Donal by PM, but in case anyone else from Ireland is browsing, I didn't have to pay anything extra to get the RadRunner fro Utrecht to Galway.

They also offer the BTW scheme though it's not advertised on the site, email their customer service team to get the details.

Great post, and a fine assessment of the bike.

A rear passenger pad would lift the pillion use higher which might help with the peg location. It's also more comfortable than the stock seat.

I picked up a couple of Exposure Tracers to augment the lighting, they're a great addition, small and lightweight, and can be popped off and put your pocket. I've also had two tail lights fail on me but the Tracers keep on rocking. I also invested in a 2000 lumen front light which doubled the visibility of the front lights, but I have to be mindful of incoming traffic as it's bright enough to dazzle if I haven't lined it up properly.

I don't know how you would mount the pegs on the rear axle with the power to the motor running though there, but maybe the lower rear arm of the frame might work?

Definitely consider the controller and display upgrade, the Speedo and trip computers are useful, and the power boost is always nice!

That's a nice display!

RadRunner / Re: Pedal thread problem

installing and removing pedals still gives me the heebees, I'm always worried I've got them backwards and I'll end up stripping threads!

Why not try it and see? Should be a straight swap!

General Chat / Re: Tires on new mini

You should be ok with the same tubes. Look for BMX tyres if you want a narrower tyre, or Vee Speedsters for a road biased fatter tyre.

General Chat / Re: GPS Tracking App?

I trialled Komoot In the past which was good, and recommended some really interesting routes for me. I'm using Ride With GPS at the moment, which has some good basic tools on the free version.

Wheel size measured the diameter of the tyre and the wheel, so even if the RR has a 20" wheel, it's closer to a 24" total outside diameter. A different setting will cause the speedometer an odometer to under/over read.

The stock RR controller is good for about 19A continuous output, or about 350W, the Rover outputs closer to 750W.

RadRunner is single speed, and goes as fast as you can pedal it. Power assist stops at 25km/h, unless you do something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BDSllZzRYA
