Does anyone know the pin-out? Mostly interested in the function of the center three pins, since the outer higher current + and - terminals are self explanatory.
The three pins are not connected.

Open up the battery and check each group of cells with a voltmeter. They should be all the same voltage. If not, the BMS will shut down the battery.

Hi, my battery recently died and I wonder if I am also having a BMS failure issue.  I was wondering how you went about finding the replacement BMS, because I cannot seem to find the same one in Switzerland.  If the specs are the same (13s, 48v, 25 a, and assuming it is the same physical size or smaller), is that enough, or do I need to search for something else?  I am searching Amazon France and Germany, by the way.  Thanks!
What are your symptoms?  Have you checked all cell voltages?

Which end cap do you open...the side where the LED level bars are located or the opposite side?

Me too. Used the key to short out the charging port. Will work on fix this week. And many thanks DickB your the man. Also Batteries Plus Bulbs should be a good source to do this type of repair. Kramer
You're welcome.

My local Batteries Plus Bulbs does not work on Li-Ion batteries. They would not touch a Rad battery.

I have a soldering set up and pretty good hang of it, so I think I could replace the soldered fuses. But I'm unsure where to source this particular style of fuse on the new batteries. Anyone with electrical/engineering background have any idea how to hunt these down?

Only asking because I have a 6+ en route to me from rad now and all this battery talk has me thinking I should have a plan if/when it happens to me. I'm assuming I'll be receiving the newer battery configuration with the soldered fuses. Maybe I'll luck out and get the older style though.

EDIT: Looks like I found it. It's a surface mount fuse (SMD). I'll need to get it in hand to see how easy it is to solder. https://www.tti.com/content/ttiinc/en/apps/part-detail.html?partsNumber=0451010.MRL&mfgShortname=LTF&customerPartNumber=&minQty=1000&customerId=

Another option might be to just leave the old fuse in place, bend the leads on an axial lead fuse, and solder in parallel.

Be careful using cheap batteries. I have seen on the news of a lot of ebike batteries catching fire for no reason. It seems to be those cheap batteries from China.
Where do you think Rad batteries are sourced?

The groups of cells should all be at the same voltage. You have two groups of weak cells that are likely being depleted before the rest. When the voltage difference between cells is significant, the BMS shuts the battery down. The BMS is probably fine and doing its job. The low-voltage cells are bad. Balancing is worth a shot, but not likely to fix.

How old/home much usage on the battery?

I believe the 2022 integrated battery has been changed. I had mine go bad and replaced and decided to take the old one apart. I don?t believe there are fuses in the ends anymore. It looks like the pcb is different as well.
Look at posts #46 and #48 in this topic.

Do you still have the bad batteries?

So my battery charges up very nicely, which I do after 35-40 miles on the charge on my Rad Expand 5. There are 2-3 bars left so it about 50% used.  However, I notice the charger gets really hot. I take the battery pack  off to charge it, since the bike lives in a shed when not ridden.  Thoughts?
2 bars is anywhere from 12% to 25%.

I have a Rad Rover 6, don't see where the fuse part is on the battery. Does anyone have a picture for this so I know where to look for it?
