If you were waiting for a slight deal on a Rad Power Bike here is a sale running through the end of the month (1/31/2022):

Buy a Rad Power Bike and get a free accessory when you use the code YAYFREE at checkout. Limit one use per customer and up to 4 bikes per order. Thule and Hollywood Rack are excluded as well as the conestoga, caboose and batteries. I think the rest of the accessories are fair game. Using this link prior to purchase supports the Rad Owners Forum Ebike Escape (thank you!): https://bit.ly/2VMSVHl

Mine (RR6+), shipped early November, doesn't seem to allow the change.

I'm not saying Rad didn't change the ability to do this but be sure you are following the instructions exactly. You need to be in the advanced settings first in order to be able to access the 'secret settings'. I have a RR+ that was delivered this month I can check on this week and report back.

Hi, thanks for your video.  It's a great introduction to all the options!  I'm considering the RadMission, but am concerned about the size, as I am 6' 6".  While RadPower's site states that it is comfortable for riders up to 6' 4", you mentioned in your video that you felt like you maxed out the bike at 6' 0".  Could you give some additional comments on sizing?  In my area, I have no way to try the bike before buying.  Thank you!

The RadMission is no doubt going to feel too small for you. As JCVDD stated you might have better luck with Aventon's frames. As far as bikes in a similar category - the Roadster V2 or Roadster V2 gravel might be large enough. I have an Aventon Soltera I still need to try out but that's a one size fits all approach as well. Otherwise, I know Biktrix is pretty well known for some models fitting larger riders. If you chat with them their support is very helpful. At your height the best thing you can do is to try to hop on some models to see how you feel. Let us know what you decide on and appreciate it if you use one of my links prior to purchase: https://ebikeescape.com/top-ebike-brands/

The Sena helmet (or Sena Pi) is my go-to helmet. When riding with my wife it's awesome to talk to each other and when I'm out by myself I turn on music. If you want to make your own helmet smart the Sena Pi's are a good option though still a bit pricey at $99 each: https://ebikeescape.com/sena-pi-review/

I agree that the stock headlight (and even the optional "premium" light, which is not) is pretty useless except as a running light.

I use this one and am extremely happy with it: https://amzn.to/3ts7cuh
Mounts securely, but pops right off for charging or for use as a handheld flashlight.

I second the Planet Bike light, though I have the 600 SLX. I can't imagine it being brighter. It is my favorite light out of the ones I've tested - well worth the higher price in my opinion.

Yes you can program it to 25 mph. It's on this forum how to do it.
Yes, Ryan shows us how to do it in his review.

It has apparently been disabled; mine (shipped mid-Nov) flashes "1d" on the screen when you try to change the limit.  Too bad as I run up against the cut-off regularly while riding.

Here are the instructions (be sure to follow them carefully): https://ebikeescape.com/rad-plus-models-top-speed-unlock/

When I personally experienced the 1d error it was because I was not already in the settings menu. You must first hold the DOWN pedal assist button on the left and the LIGHT button at the same time on the left LCD display. Hold for approximately 5 seconds. Then hold all 3 buttons: Hold the pedal assist UP and DOWN button and the LIGHT button at the same time (hold for about 10 seconds).

Maybe someone who had previously seen the 1d error can confirm it now works.

This was one of the most popular videos I did almost two years ago. Now updated for 2022. Curious to get some other perspectives on which Rad Power Bike to buy.

I've been wearing the neon green version of the Showers Pass Refuge in all of my recent ebike reviews. I layer underneath on cold days. It has held up great to windy conditions as well: https://bit.ly/3sMZZV4

They did send it to me for review, but it is a high-quality product that should last a long time. I've also been enjoying the waterproof socks quite a bit.

Here is our list: https://ebikeescape.com/best-ebike-helmets/

The Sena helmets are awesome if you ride frequently with others.

Can someone report on what's possible on the EU plus models? It doesn't sound like you can change the wattage from what I've heard. Thanks!
