Rad Modifications / Re: Rad Runner Mods
October 05, 2020, 10:13:00 PM
For those that have successfully installed a Bolton suspension fork on a Radrunner, can you go over the process in a bit of detail?  I'm sure there are many of us that would love to do this mod, myself included. ;D

I have that 2400 lumen light too.  It lights up a much larger area than the stock Radrunner light on my bike and is decently bright, though probably not 2400 lumens as mentioned.

Rad Modifications / Re: Seat clamp size?

I found it on youtube. It also doubles as a lock for the battery too if you position it so that it blocks it from being lifted out of the cradle.

I got the 32mm size from https://www.saveyourseatlock.com/product/quick-release-seat-lock/  and it fits correctly.

General Chat / Re: Anyone using Slime
October 01, 2020, 05:54:12 PM
I use tuffy liners and slime after my radrunner had a flat tire from just a small twig.  I have had no flats since using the slime and liners.  I would have preferred to use Tannus Armor inserts but they don't make the correct size for the Radrunner yet.  I did notice the slime formula that I recently purchased is different than one used about 10-15 years ago, not sure if it is better or worse yet(old slime had bigger rubber particles).

General Chat / Re: Pinhead Locking Skewer

A chain lock is what I ended up using instead of getting a pinhead since you can only use one of the skewers and they make you buy 2.

Can't use Tannus armor on the Radrunner since they don't make that size yet.

I put my Abus Ulock under the rear rack, fits perfect!  I also have a big kryptonite chain lock I wrap around the down tube.

As the title says, are there no more discounts for teacher/medical/emergency workers?  the page is gone from Radpower's website.

No, I have not purchased a regular seat post yet.

I feel the same way, might try the cloud 9 on a regular seat post.

I need to change my seat as well and I was curious to know if you tried this or not?

I hear nothing but good things about the racks from https://www.1up-usa.com/

I don't have one myself but I will probably get one at some point. Oh and they are made in the USA too.

Interesting, the rear brake disk on my Radrunner came bent as well.

If you noticed on Radpower's website the Radrunner passenger package is not compatible with a suspension seatpost, which is true.  The seatpost will bottom out on the passenger seat, so I mounted the rear seat a bit further back which now allows the suspension seatpost to articulate correctly now.  New mounting holes were drilled in the rack which barely fit with the limited places the screws could go.

Rad Modifications / Re: RadRunner Total Upgrade

Reviews on Bolton's site mention the fork did not work for them.  Can you show us some pics and give us some more details please.  I'm sure many people would love to add front suspension to their Radrunners.
