Yes thats The 6 turn one.
I'm using modified custom KT controller.
Some info regarding my Rad (and motor).

Wow. That is beyond what I am willing/able to take on. So, unless Bolton gives me some better configuration; I think I'll just be cool with the current top speed.

Andrew

You can upgrade your controller to one with field weakening feature for more speed. Phaserunner would be good combination with G062.

Thank you so much for all the suggestions and information! I will email Bolton to see what they have to say.

What turn count 1000w motor do you have?
Fastest winding is 6 turn (number 6 is the last number on model label).

I'm using highly modified G062 motor with 60v  and 114A  peak on Rover.
0-30mph is 3.9sec
Tops 41-42 mph.

The model number of the motor is Bafang RM G062 1000 D'06 1

How did you modify this motor? Also, which controller are you using?

Andrew

Rad Modifications / Re: Bafang G063 1000 watt motor

I have had zero replies from Bafang, just like Rad they are a shambles.

The stator looks alot like on fitted in G063. G063 has wider gap between motor and casing but seems Bafang has maybe started using same core on both (G032&G062) motors. Difference between G062 & G063 seems to be different sizing in reduction gear system.

Rad Modifications / Re: motor phase wires awg

Those wires are 12 or 13awg stock. 11 awg phases fit without hall wires. I have heavily modded G062 series motor with 8 awg phases plus liquid cooling lines, temp sensor etc now installed.

For comparison this is my modified 7kw Peak G0602.1000.DC motor.

Holly Molly what are the windings on your motor?

Windings them selves are stock multistrand 15*0.6mm 6T used in G062.1000 motor.
Phase wirings are upgraded 8awg. Motor has welded clutch, water and air cooling, Bluetooth winding temp logging system, reglued rotor magnets etc. Motor connector L10 + MT60 + Higo mini B.

JTK77, regarding the diagram of the Z916 to L1019  connectors, thank you, Do you know what each coloured wire does ?  We now know what these do from the L1121 that on the G063 motor MackWon posted .

This picture is from Grin. Functions are correct and matches  what is used in Bafang motors G060 & 062 series atlest. Wire colors them selves do not always match. I have worked with number of Z916 and L10 wirings and there are not much but some variation. Best to match known connector PIN function with motor side.
I would just open motor side cover and map continuity between hall and phase pins to connector. Opening cover leaves no mark and should not avoid warranty anyways.

Inside the motor pic.

Interesting. Is that really G063? PCB is labeled for front motor G020 series 250w.
Copper fill Factor seems quite low for 1000w motor 🤔

Yes but you should know what is what on controller side first in order to fix order on G063 motor side to match L1019. I would just open the motor and then match with L1019.

Our plug on the controller side is a Julet Z916 and on the motor side is the L1121 and yes I agree the best way would to open up the motor and match phase and hall connections but that would also void my warranty and no return if you need to but as a last resort I will crack it open. There is nothing wrong with the methods I posted above it's an easy way to find out if the controller is compatible.

Thats why I posted the PIN map for z916 to L1019 conversion.
Regreasing the gears requires the motor case to be opened anyway but you could do that after verifying everything works ok.

JTK, What controller and display are you using? might be an option.

Custom KT variant ordered from factory + LCD8h. These are 48 to 60v battery Compatible.
I'm running modified G062.1000.DC 60v 114A peak.

Here is official wiring diagram for z916 and L1019. These pinouts matches stock Rad and G062..Also 35A controller.
I have also sold number of custom controllers for G062 motor wired like this.
There is no purple in L1019. Grey is found only on controller side (thermistor). White is speed.
The G062 1000 is working with the 35a Bolton controller but we are using the new G063 1000 and it's not working with the same controller, spins up slowly and stops. So matching color to color doesn't work, something changed in the G063 just not sure what yet. The L1121 plug doesn't use pin 8 and 9 (Null), 5 is speed/thermister as per Bafang motor controller.

Yes but you should know what is what on controller side first in order to fix order on G063 motor side to match L1019. I would just open the motor and then match with L1019.
