General Chat / Re: Odometer reset itself
August 25, 2021, 08:21:12 PM
My RadRunner Plus odometer seems to reset every 100 miles or so, I have no clue why. So if anyone knows the fix to this, I'm interested as well.

Howdy - I have the RadRunner + which came with the brown passenger seat, and I'd like to trade it for a black one.

Trade would be as follows - my brown passenger seat, matching brown leather grips and seat for your black passenger seat and matching black bike seat.

I am in San Diego. Would be down to ship too for the right person. Thanks.

RadRunner / Re: Tire fell off while riding downhill

Geez man that sounds absolutely brutal, sorry to hear that happened to you.

I've had a Runner Plus since June as well, also with about 200 miles on it.

No wheel loss but I've definitely noticed a lot of nuts and bolts loosening up quicker than on my "normal" bike.  My reasoning is that I'm riding the RR+ much harder and faster than I could on my non-motorized bikes. After a surfboard rack malfunction, I'm getting in the habit of running a quick diagnostic every few days on all the attachments, etc.

Also been meaning to purchase a torque wrench, which is a tool I never bothered with when working on traditional bikes.

Haven't seen that either but this cool guy in San Diego created some custom, lockable aluminum panniers that I'm definitely considering for my Runner!

If you have the Plus with the upgraded controller, you can easily upgrade the top speed to 25mph by pressing a few buttons. Not sure about the stock Runner though, the electric tape could be the only solution.

I'm 6'2 and have the Plus w/ center console - I agree that raising it would probably be more trouble than its worth. Your mileage may vary, but at my height I would never replace the seatpost with an elongated passenger seat like many mods seem to feature... unless I wanted to rely on the throttle only and never pedal.

I like the look of the moped/scooter bikes too like the Super73s, etc., but the lack of an adjustable seatpost was a dealbreaker for me and the reason I went for the Runner. I like to pedal and I want proper leg extension, but that's just me.
