I might have bought the Gravity Bullseye Monster electric if I was aware of it at the time. The fork, wheels, hubs are all a big upgrade from the rover. Otherwise comparable.

Service & Repair / Re: rad wagon stripped axle

I imagine one way to find out is to take it apart. Sounds like fun. If you do, post photos so we can all benefit from your misfortune. How did you strip that axel? Pretty robust.

Hey Don,
In my humble opinion, the Palouse to cascades trail (formerly known as Iron Horse or John Wayne trail) near Seattle is perfect for the rover. Crushed gravel rail to trail through the mountains and out to eastern wa. There is a 2.5 mile former train tunnel that is pitch black and cuts through the mountain pass.  Great use for your bike lamp and head lamp. You can see some photos of the area in pics I have posted to this forum. You can ride the section from rattlesnake ledge through the pass tunnel to Haak and back on one charge. This trail is 224 miles long.

I use a thule but I like the idea of one of these. Cheap, designed for way more weight than ebike, wide tracks for the rovers 4" tires.  Not sure of the downsides.

Trek 970 is not an ebike or cargo bike. Weird comparison.
You should walk instead.

Yes! This what I want to see. Carsten appears to be awesome, doing awesome things. Ice spikes! Captain Von Trap!
The hills are alive with music.

Go for a ride in the snow! One of best uses of a fat bike.

This is how I wanted my rover. I am riding trails much more than streets. Mix of cosmetic and functional changes.
Chain guard delete
Brake light delete
Orange decals delete
Carbon seat post
Renthal bars
I swapped out the leather saddle for a wtb.
Upgrade rear brake
Tire reflector black out
Chester pedals
Shimano bar end caps
Specialized head set cap
Lizard skins
Set computer to top out at 24mph
Seems like we might want to consider a "what did you do with your rad bike today" type of forum space.

If you care about properly locking your bike with the front wheel, a U lock won't work because the tires are too wide. You might want to go with a chain style lock.

I went with these Spyke disc brakes, the stock ones were pretty annoying to adjust properly.
I wish I could find a decent fork that didn't cost $500:(

Hello
I'm in Kent WA. I've been riding Maple valley single track. Also Palouse to Cascade rail to trail. It's about 40 miles from rattlesnake ridge to the snoqualmie train tunnel and back.
I like these renthal bars and Chester pedals.
