Title: Two thing missing
Post by: moemulroy on May 20, 2022, 12:51:34 PM
Missing from the right handle bar is the terrible shifter that comes with the
Rad Rover 6 Plus.
To accommodate a new shifter I move the throttle to the left side.

What did you think was so terrible about the old shifter?

I had to remove your right hand from the throttle every time I wanted to change gears.
Not to mention that it looked ugly sitting up high on the handle bar.

Being that one should probably be pedaling while shifting gears, I'm trying to understand how a split second off the throttle affects things.

I agree with Moe, trigger shifter is superior. With stock shifter I have had to take hand completely off of bars to slam the gears into low gear with my palm on approach during steep single track riding.  I looked into ways to replace it but didn?t know what to do with the twist throttle. Also agree it looks cheap and very ugly.
Nice work Moe!
