Good morning all! Hope you're safe!

I'm a proud new owner of a Radrover 5! It was back ordered for a million years but I got it last week. My wife ordered me Rads Rear rack and unfortunately it was the black version. I took matters into my own hands and give it a sweet orange spray job and attached it to my bike. I had purchased this pannier (Rhinowalk Bike Bag Waterproof Bike Pannier Bag https://amzn.to/3sfc02K) for the rack and prep to start my commute to work daily. I went to attach it and could not... It turns out the rack diameter is way too thick. I did my best to measure and I got 1.6 CM diameter. I am having a very very very tough time finding any pannier that states the size the clips are.

I found this thread: https://www.radowners.com/index.php/topic,144.msg623.html#msg623.       Which looks like it would solve my problems but the poster does not show where to get the items to do that. so I'm thinking that I have to return my bag. It seems pretty nice though....

I'm looking for a Panier like that I can clip on each side but leave the top of the rack open it if I need to put anything up there. I know that the big accessory thread here lists one but it goes over the whole top, and it is not waterproof I live in a very rainy area and I need them to be waterproof. I also need them to not be $200 or more.

Help me! Please and thank you. Attached is a pic of my beastly RAD bike with the custom paint job on the rack!

If you have a 3D printer you could possibly make the Ortliebs fit: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4444726?fbclid=IwAR3X1O8grvKNfrfg22C71omOsTYhrQWR5i68bKytVU1KnbgQYgSRfMQvfLE

I did see some folks use two sets of rubber P clamps. Apparently these can handle the weight. Basically you attach one set to the rear rack and then one set to your piece of aluminum from the hardware store. Throw self locking nuts in between the two clamps.

Otherwise opt for one with cinch straps.

Thanks Ryan.
Wife got the clips off. I don't think that 3D model would fit. I'm wondering if these will?  https://www.perennialcycle.com/ql2-1-2-hooks-w-handle.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=%5BCB%5D%20Google%20Shopping%20Ads%20-%20Jan%202020%20Onwards&gclid=Cj0KCQjwrIf3BRD1ARIsAMuugNse2MIZ5f-o7-MyhGwc3u9cxo7ckifArKZPEO4Fj6FXzSpqh2jt6bQaAhfAEALw_wcB

Otherwise I'll probably order this?:  Rhinowalk Bike Bag Bike Pannier Bag Set,(for Bicycle Cargo Rack Saddle Bag Shoulder Bag Laptop Pannier Rack Bicycle Bag Professional Cycling Accessories 3 in 1 https://amzn.to/3oP5noA

There are pics of the rover with them on. And one of the questions on its page it looks like asks if it fits 0.63 inch diameter rails and they say yeah.

Sorry if I'm not reading you request correctly but if I understand what you want, You're looking for packs that clip on the Rad rear rack on your bike that would clip on both sides, be waterproof, and leave the top of the rack open?

Why wouldn't you just use the suggested bags on the rad site? https://bit.ly/3cT6TNb

I ordered one and got it but have not used it as I'm still waiting for my bikes.

I tested out the Fremont pannier bags offered by Rad Power Bikes. They were really nice though certainly come in at a higher price point: https://youtu.be/uCXP1Y4pd4Q

I know they aren't the clipping style but I just purchased the Roswheel bags https://amzn.to/2B2PpAJ
Personally I like the look and the function of the clipping panniers but for such a major price difference I decided to give the Roswheel panniers a shot. Plus you get additional storage with the top bag. I plan to do a video sharing what I think about them.

I didn't want to spend $80/bag at the beginning. I haven't fully committed to commuting yet. I'm probably gonna get those Roswell bags Ryan. But the ones that are a little more and "waterproof". Do you recommend those? You said you were going to make a video

That was my justification for buying the Roswheel bags. I will have them this week. They definitely aren't waterproof like the more expensive options but I think they will provide enough protection for anything we're hauling. Roswheel also sells a waterproof rain cover although you could probably DIY something as well: https://amzn.to/37x6vmh

I believe you're talking about these ones: https://amzn.to/2B6Gb6z

I know others have purchased but no firsthand experience with these. Let me know if you have any other questions. Bags should be here Wednesday.

For those interested, at about 3 minutes into this video I talk about the $40 Roswheel Panniers: https://youtu.be/U7lewoI8tos
