Long time MC rider here.   Much easier to jump on the RAD for a run up to the store rather than my big touring bike with loads of storage!!   20mph on the RAD feels like 60 on the MC and just as much fun!    Yes we ride both in bike lanes and with traffic and on bike trails.  Great having throttle to take off when stopped in turn lane waiting with cars for light to turn green.    8)

We have two mini's.  Always good to have a set of tires readily available. Ya never know when you will need them!  Getting ready to get a set of
Shinko SR241 Front/Rear Dual Sport Tire - 3.00-16/Black for the mini's from Amazon.

I had the same issued with my City 3 ST.  The only fix and might not be enough is to get the 450mm post or a NCX post that I have the included a rise of 2 more inches over the 450mm post to raise my seat enough.  AND that worked great + the plushness of the suspension seat makes me very happy.    RAD - all the ST have less depth of their frames to accomadate longer seat posts and stay within the boundaries of the line not to cross pushing higher and risk cracking frame or being tossed off!

Yes that controller does get hammered and bad weather. In the snow it also sticks to it.
I think a better solution would be to lower the front mud guard or use the small extension like a piece of inner tube I noticed my feet also take a hammering and I've watched riding through bed weather that is the front wheel that's kicking up everything. I think this would prevent a lot of debris preventing up on the controller.

Yes!   That would be a cheap and easy fix stopping ANY spray coming from the front wheel!   A longer mud flap of sorts.  Thanks for the tip.

Cascade Manufacturing makes a skid plate for the RadMini. It covers the controller and the wiring under the crank, including the pedal assist sensor. I've used it with the stock controller, the common 22 and 35 amp controllers, and now with my 96 amp Phaserunner controller.

Muddy picture attached!

Thanks for the info!... Looks to be a good fix

If you don't get that one I SWEAR by the NCX by Suntour for about $90 from Amazon!!   I ended up returning my FIDO and Cloud9 as I was much more comfortable with the stock RAD seat and the Suntour NCX adjustable post!!  RAD ON!

My SO loves her FIDO seat from Amazon.

I'm quite enthralled and lusting after  the City 5 after having and returning the city 3 and now have a Mini-4 I am quite happy with but look forward to either adding a City 5 or converting my Cannondale to a kit bike with longer legs than the mini has.   My S/O has both a mini ST and a City 3 ST which she confirms has "longer Legs" speed wise then the mini with geared hub higher torque.    I have been thru all the aftermarket seats including cloud9, FIDO and Walmart Italian cushion seat and find the stock seat with Suntour NCX shock post the most comfy for me..

I think City 5 is more of an Evolution of the 3 than a revolution with much more coming in the years ahead with vast improvements.  Kinda reminds me of harley davidson in the 70's which made mechanics of all riders including me!

General Chat / Re: Rad’s Repair Tool Kit?
December 08, 2021, 10:05:00 AM

I did that photo for myself and there are tools not evident like the brake tool adjustment tool, tie wraps,  hand pump etc...    Learned a long time ago to carry everything and you probably won't need it (From Cross country MC trips in past times)
