RadRover / Re: down on power?

We have 2 RR6+, ST/SO.  We got these ebikes knowing their too heavy for steep hills so we avoid that kind of trekking. But we do moderate grade hills that would be tough on a regular bike,  without a problem. The power issue I get. But I want to stay Class II so I can have a PAS AND a throttle with access to all bike trails/paths. Our bikes do all this without difficulties. We ride comfortably for HOURS. As for power,  we have plenty for our needs. Some need more power for other kinds of riding. Then there's the fact no one likes to be bamboozled. Understood. All I can say is I'm satisfied with my purchases. We have had great outings and are planning more. To each his own.

RadRover / Re: Battery charge port cover staying open

Whatever you do, don't EVER get anything metal near that port except the charging plug. It will SHORT your battery and that is a royal pain in the ass to fix.

RadRover / Re: RAD ROVER6+ has no key lock out?

We have both RR 6+ ST and SO.  I bought 2 carrying cases that we bungee on the back. When we have to stop we Zii Lock the bikes AND take the batteries with us in the carrying cases. And that's just to prevent the quick opportunist thrives. It won't stop a prepared pro if they have 5-8 minutes. So, the bikes are also insured and registered. Finally, we're very selective (as much as we can control), about where we stop, and lock the bikes in high visibility areas. The only exception is when we eat at roadside where the bikes are in plain sight. It's a ritual, but it's worth it.

RadRover / Re: 6 plus spare battery

Me too. I got 2 extra batteries for my wife and I and haven't figured it out yet. However, I'm thinking I'm going to use the carrying case and secure it on the underside of the down tube. I'm taking pictures to my local Ace hardware store so they can help me figure out that right clamps, ties and/or straps. Theoretically this space on the bike should work. I'll let you know and send pics.
