General Chat / Re: Rad Owners who are Lawyers...

Well thank you for investigating! Having read a few complaints in my day - tho never one about an e-bike - I'm surprised they don't identify the model involved. Cheers.

Do you have a PACER account? Can you report back as to which model is involved in the State Farm lawsuit?

If you've looked, you know that RAD is out of stock. I have designed my own and, as a service to the community, will print one for you (using PLA) and mail it to you for US$10. Have been using black filament but would entertain requests for other colours -- I have a good few in my collection. It's this one: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5545572
Cheers :D

Saw a notice about this sale last night. Could hardly wait to call Rad this morning. Just took delivery of my bike -- paid $1,999 -- now on sale for $1,699. I have 3km on my bike, am well within the return window and have kept all my packaging "just in case" -- so glad of all that. After a quick explanation, CSA Richard sought management approval (that took all of 10 seconds) and boom! $300 was put back onto my AMEX just for asking. NICE!!! What a terrific experience! Thanks, Rad, for making it as easy as ought to have been :)

If  you know someone with a 3D printer, there are examples of them on thingiverse.  use rad power or radpower as your search strings.

Here's my version: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5545572

RadRover / Re: Kinda sorry I bought a RR6+

My initial (pre-sale!) contact with CS absolutely sucked and put me right off the brand. A supervisor swept in and assuaged me with an apology and a $50 coupon. Other contacts have been TOPS. I'm squarely on the fence about this purchase... most concerned about having this puppy stolen. Using two ABUS Granit Extreme 59 Shackle Locks (the cheapest price I could find was here: https://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/en_CA/?ObjectPath=/Shops/10207048/Products/ABUS-GRANIT-Extreme-59-Shackle-Lock/SubProducts/ABUS-GRANIT-Extreme-59-U-Lock-0002). Anyone interested in sharing their thoughts on whether that's enough, besides all the precautions about where to park and how to use the locks? One through the rear wheel and frame, another through the front wheel and frame. Obviously one of those also through the immovable anchor.

I wanted one but they're out of stock. So I designed one and 3d-printed it. If you'd like to print one for yourself, here's the link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5545572
