Title: Seat post extension or longer post for City 5 Stepthru suggestions
Post by: Billrm455 on December 20, 2021, 07:49:32 PM
Just purchased a RadCity 5 Stepthru.  I'm just under 6'3" and the seat post is not nearly tall enough. Can anyone recommend an extension or least how long of a post I should be getting?

Thanks.

I think you may want to consider going to a local bike shop and try a few sizes out. Also as you mentioned, check out a seat post suspension. It softens the ride, as well as add a couple inches to the seat post:

I had the same issued with my City 3 ST.  The only fix and might not be enough is to get the 450mm post or a NCX post that I have the included a rise of 2 more inches over the 450mm post to raise my seat enough.  AND that worked great + the plushness of the suspension seat makes me very happy.    RAD - all the ST have less depth of their frames to accomadate longer seat posts and stay within the boundaries of the line not to cross pushing higher and risk cracking frame or being tossed off!
