Yup.
There was a popular novel in the '70s, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Persig. Part of it is the story of a road trip with his buddy.
His buddy had this deluxe BMW touring bike and was complaining about how one of the brake handles or something was slipping, and it was so far to the next BMW authorized service centre. The author offered to fix it by cutting a shim from a soda can and installing it. The very idea of it horrified his buddy because it wasn't an Official BMW Brass Shim. He preferred to put up with the slipping for the duration.

If it were me I would go with a 20 to 24 amp battery.  That is where you will increase your range without being too large a battery.  Amazon has them.

The problem is that Amazon has a lot really questionable batteries quality and safety wise.

After skimming through the assembly video, it doesn't appear that you can.
You could adjust the angle but that's about it.

I suppose you could replace theme with BMX-style handlebars (of appropriate diameter), which come in a range of heights ...

... but then you could run into the problem of straining the cables and wiring, or them not being able to reach the handlebar and all, especially when turning.

Or maybe keep the stock handlebar and get an extension for it like this sort of thing:

Again there's still the issue of the cables and wiring being long enough.

I've stopped trying to figure out Rad's naming scheme but it does seem like the dual display isn't the go-forward with the introduction of both the color horizontal and color vertical screen especially with moving to more advanced functions like changing the Class. I'm speculating here and I do hope that they support those who have "older" models much into the future.

Can you raise or lengthen the gooseneck on the Rad Rover 5?

Quote from: crorris on April 12, 2024, 05:54:20 AMThere is another option - CO2
As a youngster we used a lot of CO2 for airsoft pistols and I have learned to hate them for their single use purposes. But I do agree that they are a lifesaver when you are in the middle of nowhere and no airpump.

UPDATE:
Amazon had a sale, the X9 was the same price as the X8 Ace so I bought the X9. It took a couple of minutes to get used to but it seemed fine. It has a bit of weight which I like. There's ventilation on both top & bottom. My tires says 21 psi and when I pump it to 30. It seemed to take the same amount of time as any electric inflators but it's palm size. I just wished Fanttik would add a longer extension tube as an accessory.

Quote from: John Rose on April 17, 2024, 04:53:53 PMThe link and the description look like two completely different horns. How is the one in the Amazon link "self powered and charging"?

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_Kp8siD21_X5L4mnxeAQvBFUBMc_H-TC/view?usp=drivesdk

For some reason the pictures didn't upload to my post. It's a custom made solution that uses a basic horn (Amazon link). Then there's a 3D printed case that houses the charging circuit and battery.

There are lots of products available that offer a turn key solution of this, I just wanted to make my own.

Ah. It all makes sense now.
