Radgranddad, Your a brave sole. As touchy has the new batteries are, I wouldn't use it for anything but powering my bike and be extra careful doing that. Sounds like if you short it in any way, you might blow an internal fuse and have to buy a new $700 battery. Your call that's just my thought on your idea. Good luck!! Read this post  (Semi-integrated battery fuse replacement) Some batteries have a removeable fuse and some don't. You'll learn a lot if you read that whole post.

Send Rad a copy of the bill they might reimburse your money if under warranty. Contact them and ask it worked for me.

Altema, I think the new area 13 replacement motor cores are different than what you have been using. They come as just the core now and not a complete motor. Check the picture in there ad and let use know what you think.

I had an accident and suffered a head injury. The fisrt MRI showed a brain bleed. After 6 hours in ER and a second MRI the results showed the bleed didn't get worse so i was able to go home. After a 2 week rest ( no bike riding) and a third MRI everyting looked good. Now Mr. invincible wears a helmet.   

Altema Your right the RR6 has no info in the manual about balanceing the battery. When I called Rad to check on that, they said no need to balance new style batteries.

JTK77   Looks like a real fun ride, but over kill for me. I probable average 10-12 mph over the 10000 miles I have on my bike and I'm happy with that. 20 years ago I'd be riding next to you. What tires are you running, I really like the white walls.  Do they come with a less aggressive thread pattern? I like quite tires

I'm glad I held off on that motor, I do have the 35amp controller, but haven't installed it yet.  I see Electro Bike World dropped the price of that motor $20.00 since I talked to them about it on 11/24. Maybe it's a Black Friday special.
