General Chat / Re: Tire Blowout Insight
November 16, 2022, 05:51:54 AM
It may be that the tire was not seating right in the rim.  I have had trouble getting lawn cart tires seated in the rims.  You have to inflate a bit and then go around and make sure the bead seats in the rim.  It is very subtle.

General Chat / Re: My first 500 miles

Costco has gloves from time to time.  I got some that keep my hands warm, and some lighter weight ones for summer, in case I spill to protect my hands. My 80 yr old hands get bruises rather easily.

RadCity / Re: Rad City ST 3 or a Mini ST
April 05, 2022, 06:35:53 AM
I have both.  the mini is like driving a CJ-5 and the City is like my full size pickup. both fine, each different.  jLarger wheels seem to be less "grabby".

You need metric allen wrenches . Harbor Freight sells a set iwith a rack and long handles.   It is not hard - just takes a while after you get your courage up.  Take the part that holds the handlebar to the stem, off, then turn the part that holds the handlebar off and turn it around then put everything back.  It will be hard to screw it up - just don't lose any thing.  Makes a big difference and gets rid of that uncomfortable "high rider" feel.  My shoulders thanked me profusely but then I am 79.  I couldn't get Rad to sell me some handlebars like the ones on our Rad City bikes so this is a good second choice.   I am sure this changes the folding part of the mini, but then I found that a folded mini is really a monster to handle so I never fold it anymore.

How To Information / Re: Battery balancing
January 04, 2022, 08:05:10 AM
Excellent description.  So........ if the charger is left hooked up, not just for 12 hours but forgot about for a few days, does any harm result?  I have a countdown timer that i can set for up to 12 hours then it automatically shuts off.  But how long I set it for is just an educated(?) guess.
