If you call sales, you get told to go to "support.rpb.com".  If you call SUPPORT, you get told to go to support.rpb.com & click on chat.  I'm currently #31 inline.

What is going on?

anyone else?

Rad Modifications / my RadRunner Plus - PLUS
December 31, 2022, 04:22:51 PM
I just finished adding a second 17.5 amp 48v battery to my RR+ using a DATEX3 system balancer from Big Game Bikes .com  I mounted the battery on two water bottle posts and added a closed foam washer towards the top of the mount.   The wiring is all terminated with XT60 connectors on the DATEX.  I got adapter cables from BGB.com.  The DATEX-3 will allow me to add a 3rd battery.  I plan to have a Burley Trailer, Flexible Solar Panel, and a power converter in the trailer.   Then I can GO & GO, worry-free...

Now I just need the IOWA tundra season to subside for a few days.

General Chat / What's up with pricing?

I was just looking at a couple of models friends have asked me about... EVERY BIKE but the "trike" is priced at $1999.  What's up with that?

Why are there 20+ (I just deleted & reported) offers for $$ cash financing all of a sudden showing  up in all the threads?   This is ugly & sloppy... >:( >:(  :(   :(

Who's gone there, done that?  I just find a single battery range in my metro area won't cut it.  I keep it on assist "1". 20-25 miles is my experienced range.  That 30 mile loop sucked! ... LOL

I've talked to the guy at biggamebikes.com, he sells the DATEX devices that do "power balance magic".  He has good batteries, China generics, they come with a mount & charger - shipped direct.  He's a good guy.

I've found RadPower battery mounting plates on Thingiverse.com to 3D print. Guys have taken the time to measure, test, and post (to the public domain) their works.

Just wondering who's thinking the same?

Service & Repair / Insensitive Customer Support staff.

I lost my ID & can't seem to get my PW unlocked so I built a new one.  Hello all.
I just spent 58 minutes on the phone with RPB's.  I was calling in the 3pm hour (Central Time) everyone in WA was "out to lunch"...

I asked a technical question of the tech support team, "That's a stupid question" was this person's response TWICE during my interaction.  I got a 2nd person on the phone who said what my question entailed would not be supported by RPB's and they wouldn't connect me to a Supervisor, nor (since this dialogue was "in the system") would they sell me the product I had the question about.  WTF?   I've asked for a call back from a supervisor on the Sales Team.

I'm an EE/ME educated person.  Idea's come to me, that "Suzie at customer service" can't grasp. Wow what terrible things to say.  The 2nd guy just CUT ME OFF.   I'm a 2 year ADVOCATE, (that's softened today).  I'm on my 2nd RPB bike.  A RadRunner Plus.  It's nicely balanced, powerful, more suited to me than the RW4 (I had stolen in 3/2022).  My riding experience is so wonderful.  WTF is with customer service?

I relenquish to the group!
