RadMini / Rad Mini ST safety clasp broken
August 19, 2022, 12:58:34 PM
Has anyone needed to replace the safety clasp, that holds the locking arm in place, on their Rad Mini Step Thru? The spring in mine broke the other day. I have sent in a warranty claim and am still waiting to hear from Rad. Anyone out there had this issue? I can still rotate the safety into place, it is just that the spring isn't holding it in place anymore. I don't want to rely soley upon gravity. Thanks

We put our Rad Minis in a tub when we transport them in our SUV or RV. The Commander 40 gallon tote, sold at Lowes is a perfect fit. If you need something with wheels then go to Home Depot for a 50 gal HUSKY tote. On both the handle bars will fit outside and you can't use the lid. But they do a good job of protecting the bike and the vehicle. I also took a length of 1" foam pipe insulation and cut it to fit the inside fork-where it folds against the rear of the bike. It keeps the paint from getting dinged up.[/img]

RadMini / Re: Rad Mini Step thru 2 rear clacking

I had the same issue with my Rad Mini. Weighted, pedaling or not pedaling. Took it to the shop Rad told me to see. They adjusted the rear spokes and it solved the problem. It took two visits but they finally got it right. Rad covered it under warranty since I called them first. They quickly reimbursed me for the repair work. I know nothing about spokes. Good luck!
